It's The End Of The World (As We Know It): R.I.P.

Bella laughed, "I'll find it something." She skipped outside to the food court and returned a few seconds later with Marcello trailing behind her, "Alright, food is here!" She sat next to Jason and Marcello sat on the arm of the couch. "Jason, this is Marcello, Marcello this is Jason." She smiled and took a hot dog off the plate and shoved it into her mouth.
Marcello gave a small wave, "Nice to meet you."

Jason smiled politely at Marcello. "nice to meet you too" he said. He looked at Bella and the food. he wasn't sure what it was. living on the streets, he usually had eaten asorted garbage. he wasn't acustomed to anything fresh.

Bella took another off the plate and shoved it in her mouth as well. Marcello laughed, "You might want to eat quickly or Bella will finish it all."
Bella blushed bright crimson and finished chewing the one in her mouth, "I will not!"

Jason laughed. "oh don't worry about me. I just ate three days ago so i'm set" he said smiling. He didn't know that Bella and Marcello were used to eating every day. Jason on the other hand, had to hunt for food, often being lucky to eat once a week. so three days without food was considered good by him.

Bella looked shocked, "I ate ten minutes ago!" She shoved the plate in his direction, "You eat it! You need it worse than I do." She patted her stomach, which was thin, but not in a I-haven't-eaten-in-a-while kind of way.
Marcello smiled, "Bella is never full."

Jason smiled softly at her. "i told you you don't have to worry about me. and by my standards, eating once every three days is good. usually i can't eat 'cept for every other week" he said shrugging. he lookd at the food not quite sure what it was. he adjusted how his arms were, and in the light, bella and marcello would both be able to see his ribs sickeningly clearly against his muscles.

Bella picked up a hot dog and shoved it in his mouth, "Eat, boy. You're too skinny." She sat back down and smiled, "It's good, trust me."

Jason almost choked on it when she shoved it in his mouth. compared to the garbage he was used to, this was heaven. "you're right" he said picking up another one and starting to eat it too. considering how skinny he was, it raised the question, How the hell was he still alive? it was obvious he hadn't gotten much to eat in his life.

Bella laughed, "C'mon. Eat up. It's driving me nuts to have all that in front of me and not be able to swallow it whole."
Marcello gave her a light punch to her arm, "Hey you, be nice. Give Jason time to enjoy it."

Jason chuckled and started eating a little faster. he didn't want to eat so fast he got sick, but he was starving, and only just now knew it. he didn't know that what he considered fine was really just starving.

Bella and Marcello laughed at the same time, "I might be able to find some more, if you run out." Bella offered, "You could probably stand to eat a lot."

Kyira walked over to the food court sink and began scrubbing the blood away from her arm. It stung a bit, but what pain wasn't she used to? She sighed as she walked around the mall, looking for some form of first aid kit. Kyira kept walking until she tripped over some small toy and did a head first roll down the floor and hit someone's feet.
"Ouch..." Kyira mumbled as she rubbed her head.

Jason shook his head. "no thanks this is more than enough." he said smiling politely at her. He continued eating at a rather slow pace. This was definately much better then what he was used to. He looked around as he ate, looking for a clothing store where he could get a shirt. He did need one since his shirt was gone.

Bella smiled, "Do you need some more clothes? I can run and get you some, there is an empty JC Penny's just down the hall."
Marcello nodded, "I had to pick up a few shirts for myself. I keep ripping them apart."

Jason nodded. "yeah i would need a shirt. those stupid beasts keep tearing mine to shreds" he said stretching before he continued eating. "I just hope that one i killed off earlier didn't have friends... it was hard enough to kill off the one" he said closing his eyes.

Bella and Marcello looked at each other, "That was just one?" Marcello tilted his head to the side, "They usually travel in packs unless they think one is getting to strong for the rest of them. Then, they boot him or her out of the group. My brother and I killed a group of seven on our way over here."
Bella nodded, "I got three on my own, but I don't die, so I guess that might be it."

"yeah i know they usually stay in packs, but this is a different breed then what you've probably seen. They just stick with family units. Once a few got sent ouf of packs, they bred with other strong outcasts. As you can guess that led to sort of an ultra breed." he said rubbing where the gashes had used to be on his arms. "i've only encountered one of that breed so I can't really say what they usually look like. i just know how the one looked" he said. He stretched, glad his muscles no longer felt the pain from his injuries.

Bella leaned against the back of the couch, "Well, I guess it was only a matter of time before they got smart. Can you tell us what the one you saw looked like? Most of the ones we see just look like big lizards." She looked over at Marcello, who nodded in agreement.

"oh don't get me wrong, it's still stupid, but its brute force and battle instincts make it dangerous." he said. he closed his eyes to remember the creature. "i guess the easiest way to describe it was like a lizard man in body form. only its hands and feet had long, black claws, i think a foot long apiece.. their bodies were red and scaly. the head was just a normal lizard head but it had really sharp and long fangs. It even had wings, like a bat. the worst part about it was its tail. Ever seen a mideival mace? well it had one of those built into its tail. I got two cracked ribs from taking a hit with that thing." he said trying to remember everything about it. "let's just say you don't want to meet one. they are extreamly tough skinned. my fire abilities hardly fazed them" he said fidgeting in his seat. he was lucky to get away with his life.

Adrian looked up at Zane.
Wow, he's really cute....Oh crap, he asked me something, didn't he?
"Um...Adrian...M-my name's Adrian." She managed to stutter.
Adrian, you dork!

Kyira looked up and saw Vann staring down at her with a hint of sadness in his eyes.
"Kyira...what's wrong with your arm?"
"I...I cut it earlier..." Kyira stuttered.
Vann sighed and lifted Kyira up in his arms.
"I barely know you and I can already tell your a handful.
Kyira huffed and turned her head, wincing as her arm stung from the sudden movement.
Vann just laughed as he carried her to the Bed, Bath & Beyond.

Zane laughed a little at Adrian's stuttering, "I'm Zane. Nice meeting you." He looked around, "You live alone over here? I'd get awfully lonely. I sort of travel around with my brother."
Gah! Zane, you are so screwing this up!

Bella shuddered, "Yikes. And I thought these things were ugly." Marcello laughed at Bella's full-body shudder, then paused and looked back toward the doorway.
One of the red, lizard-things was sniffing the doorway, as if following a scent. Marcello glanced at Bella, who gave a slight head nod. Without so much as a sound, Marcello slipped his shirt off over his head. On his back was tattooed a set of white angel wings. The wings seemed to spring form his back, turning into real wings, each about seven feet long. The creature looked up and Marcello and snarled.

Jason glared at it. The red lizards stood on two legs, about 8 feet tall, only prowling on four legs when tracking. Jason was on his feet in a second. His eyes turned red and a growl rose in his throat. flames lept up in his hands and spread up his arms to his shoulders. "Stand Back marcello. these things are a hellofa lot tougher then what you're used to" he said watching the black eyes of the beast.

"Yeah, I've been living here for a few weeks now" Adrian gestured around the store.
"I thought I was the only one that survived..." she said while looking down, trying not to show she was getting choked up

"Bella, is there a first aid kit in this sto-ouch!" Kyira winced as her arm stung again.
Vann sighed and laid Kyira on display bed. He walked behind the country and pulled out a first aid kit. He walked back to where Kyira was and began dressing her cut.
"OUCH!!" Kyira shrieked as Vann dabbed her arm with rubbing alcohol.
"Quit complaining you big baby, if you can't stand pain from the medicine then why did you cut yourself to begin with?"
Kyira turned her head and sighed.
