Name: Vann "Ransom" Mange

Bio: Vann lived with his mom and younger sister before this world ended. He was outside when it ended. His mother and sister burned to death in their old run down house in the suburbs. He is a kind hearted boy, with nothing left in the world.
Power: Vann has the ability to control the weather.

Kyira was composing herself when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked up and saw a handsome boy with black and blonde hair looking at her with sympathetic eyes.
"Are you okay miss? You looked so upset I had to see what's wrong."
Kyira wiped her tears away and stood.
"Yeah, I'm fine, just adjusting to this new world, pretty lamely I guess." Kyira gave him a weak smile.

"Bella!" Marcello smiled once he had finally found her, "Bella, what's wrong?"
Bella was biting her lower lip, a tear on her cheek, "I-I'm sorry...."
Marcello sat down next to her and put one arm around her shoulder, "What do you mean? You have nothing to be sorry about. You can't help it if you pass out..."
Bella rested her head on Marcello's shoulder, "I-I'm just too much trouble... You guys worry about me to much..." She sniffed and snuggled closer to Marcello, letting him comfort her.

Kyira sighed and gave the boy a pained look.
"I have to get back to my friend, she's...a bit on the...fragile side. By the way, I'm Kyira, I have this feeling we'll be seeing each other a lot more."
Kyira gave him a genuinely happy smile and turned to walk away. The boy caught her hand and turned her back to face him.
"I'm Vann and...if it's not too much to ask, can I accompany you. I have no where really, and you're the first person I've met since my mother and sister died."
He had a sad look in his eyes as he spoke the last sentence. Out of instinctive compassion, Kyira wrapped her arms around the boys neck.
"I'm so sorry Vann, of course you can come with me."
Vann hesitantly put his arms around Kyira's back and smiled.
Maybe this new world won't be as bad as I thought...Vann thought.
Kyira giggled silently and let go. She grabbed Vann's hand and walked out of the Hot Topic to where Bella and Marcello were. Totally oblivious to Zane.

Marcello walked out of the store with Bella in his arms, "She had a bit of a breakdown." Marcello smiled. He looked over at Vann, "And who is this? I thought you and Zane..." He shook his head, "Never mind. I think my brother is er... occupied with that Hot Topic girl."

"Marcello, Bella, this is Vann, he's going to be with us for a while."
Kyira grinned as Vann had a slight blush on his cheek because Kyira was still holding his hand.
"Hi, um...so, where is it exactly that you guys live?" Vann asked a bit shyly.
"Well, I live in the Wurthly Heights condo complex on the south side." Bella...she's going to live with me from now on, I can't trust her alone."

Marcello smoothed Bella's hair, covering her ears for a second while he whispered, "She likes to jump off of things." Bella didn't seem to notice as she cuddled closer to Marcello. He blushed a brilliant vermilion, his thoughts just a tad bit dirty.

Kyira used her telepathy to thrust a bit of wind at Marcello, giving him the feeling he had just been slapped.
"Now, shall we go to the library? I am a tid bit bored."

Marcello rubbed his face on his shoulder, "Bookstore right behind us. Have fun searching. Bella hadn't found anything she hadn't already read yet." He joked, smiling. Bella had read almost everything, "And besides, we need to wait for Zane to finish flirting with that girl over there. I need to go get some more shirts. I seem to keep running out." Marcello walked over to a JC Penny with Bella in his arms.

Kyira lifted Zane up and placed him in front of her.
"Dear boy, the people you care about need things, stop flirting and help your brother, now before I behead you with a ice box!"
Kyira flung him towards Marcello, noting to make sure he hit the store sign. She turned swiftly towards Vann.
"Would you like to go with them and grab some clothes?"
"S-s-sure..." Vann stuttered.
Kyira kissed his cheek and laughed.
"Don't be afraid Vann, I don't do that unless someone really irritates me. You are of the few on my very good side."
Kyira winked before giving him a light tug towards the JC Penny.

Zane growled under his breath and picked himself back up, this time remembering to take his shirt off before he checked his wings. He stretched them out to their full length to check them over, before returning them back to their tattoo form. He slipped his shirt back on and smiled at Adrian, "Ex-girlfriend."

"Never dated." Kyira called over her shoulder.
Vann laughed and looked at Zane, feeling weird that he received a deathly glare back.
"Don't worry about him, he's just a jerk." Kyira added emphasize to the jerk before entering the store.

Zane sighed and smiled at the girl, "You ok? Your being awfully quiet." He brushed himself off, "My name is Zane. What's yours?"

"Hold still!" Bella giggled, while trying to pull a shirt over Marcello's head to see if it fit, "No wonder you are running out of shirts! You tear them trying to get them over your head!"
Marcello laughed, "Actually, that's not quite it."

Kyira walked into the store when suddenly a headache made her collapse.
"Kyira! Kyira, are you okay? Kyira answer me!!" Vann screamed as Kyira collapsed in his arms.

Bella was about to ask what Marcello meant, when she heard Vann screaming, "Uh oh..." She panicked and ran over to Kyira and Vann, "What happened!?" She squeaked, in a bit of a hysterical fit.

Kyira opened her eyes but saw only black. Her eyes had rolled back in her head and all Vann saw was the whites of her eyes.
"Kyira, wake up honey! Kyira wake up!"
Vann shook her lightly and shut her eyes, hoping she would wake up.
Kyira entered a dream like state, she was walking around in the dark, when a light shot out of no where and drew her to it. She walked towards it and saw a meadow. It was filled with flowers, but something felt wrong. All of a sudden, a darkness over took the meadow and the flowers wilted and rotted. Then, as if someone snapped their fingers, Kyira opened her eyes and saw everyone's faces.
"What....what the heck....was that..." Kyira mumbled as she rubbed her head.

"Kyira!" Bella exclaimed, hugging Kyira tightly, "Wait..." She looked at Vann, "Honey? Why the heck did you call her that? You've known her all of two seconds!" Bella seemed unusually cross, but was just being protective of her friend.

Vann blushed a deep crimson and turned his head.
"I don't know...I mean...I was really freaked out. I usually call people I really care about honey when I get freaked..."
Kyira looked at Vann through Bella's arms and smiled in her head.
At least someone cares about me, stupid Zane wouldn't care if I died.
Kyira smiled an evil grin.

Bella let go and sighed, "You scared me. What was all that about?" She seemed concerned as Marcello helped Bella to her feet and extended a hand to do the same for Kyira.

Kyira stood, the evil smile still on her lips.
"It was a weird dream. Really weird..."
Kyira walked towards the food court, eying her prize. The butcher knife laid out on the counter. Glistening in the dim store lights.
"I'll be right back guys."
Kyira sprinted to the food court and grasped the knife. She then ran to the bathroom and ran into a stall, locked the door and eyed her prize.
"This world is over, so why should I be left behind to suffer in it?"

Bella saw what she was going for and ran after her, "Kyira! Kyira! Stop that!!" she ran at Kyira, pounding the door down and falling on the knife herself. Bella coughed and sputtered, blood dripping down her chin as she backed against the wall with the knife in her chest.

"Dammit Bella!!"
Kyira pulled the knife out and held the wound closed with her hand.
"Your lucky, you won't die from this."

Bella nodded, clutching her chest with her left hand, "I-I didn't w-want you to h-hurt yourself." She sputtered, more blood coming out of her mouth.

"This world is over Bella, we shouldn't be alive. Not with these powers. Besides, I wanted a reaction out of Zane, I wasn't going to kill myself, just a quick cut of the wrist."
Kyira ran the blade down her wrist and winced as it cut her.
"Besides, I heal quick, I always have."
