The Vampire Diary: Fallen Angels

Kyira stood next to Marcello, reading the letter as it addressed each person there. She felt her tears fall as she read the last message to them from Bella.

Riley sighed a bit, reading the letter aloud to the group. He went over the words slowly, with a tone of sorrowful mourning in his voice. He rested his hand on Marcello's shoulder, hoping it might give a bit of comfort before he continued reading.

"Attachéed, you'll find a list of coordinates. I was not willing to risk placing all your gifts together until the time was right. First, for Marcello, my love, something by which to guard your heart as you have guarded mine. Hopefully, I can protect you, even beyond ash."

Marcello stiffened, eyes closed as he hid behind his mask.

Riley's eyes scanned over the letter, a sigh escaping his lips. He looked up at Kyira and Zane, and held the letter out to her. "Would you like to read your own messages?"

Kyira nodded her head, she took the letter gently, it's paper felt unnatural in her hand. She wasn't sure what it would say, but she knew whatever Bella had written must have been important. She held it between Zane and herself, reading it silently in her mind.

"To Kyira, my closest of friends, I leave to you a reason. Something that will need you as much as you need it; and something that you will have to truly live for. This world has always been yours, ripe for the taking, and now more than ever, I hope you will grow to see that.

"To Zane, the ever watchful eye, I leave to you rest. You have stood guard and put your own desire aside for so long that most have forgotten it. Not I. I leave you with the grace of your forefathers."

Kyira's face seemed confused. She looked towards Zane.
"What do you think she's talking about?"

Zane shook his head, "With her, it could be anything..." Even still, a strange sense of hope was in his eyes.

"To Reily; I'm sorry that once again we had to pull you out, but, we need you now. More than anything. So, to you I leave my secret, and the freedom to do with it as you wish."

"Bella was always good at confusing us. I just hope finding this 'reason' she was talking about won't be impossible."

Riley's lips pursed as he wondered what the note might have meant. "'My Secret'." He mused aloud, thinking over the possibilities. He looked between Marcello and Zane. "You wouldn't have any idea on what she meant by that, would you?"

Marcello and Zane both shook their heads. Zane raised a brow, "Linus has been awfully quiet up there, too. His name is next..."

Linas ran downstairs to tell the rest about Isabella, but he heard his name as soon as he came to the last step. He entered the room a second after Zane had called his name

Zane raised a brow, "Is everything okay?"

"Isabella is gone. The bedroom window is wide open." Linas said

Riley's eyes widened, surprised at the revelation. "Was she taken? Did it look like there was a struggle?"

"There's no signs of struggle. It looks like she just jumped out did the classic 'tie a bed sheet to the bed and lower yourself down' thing."

"This is definitely not good. We have to go find her. We can't let Dianne get a hold of her."

Marcello went pale, grabbing his coat, "Come on, we've got to find her!"

Kyira grabbed her jacket and pulled it on as fast as she could.
"Let's hope Isabella isn't like her mom and can shut me out of her mind, otherwise we might be able to find her faster."

Linas grabbed his jacket and headed out the door with the others. "I hate to sound naïve, but who is Dianne?"

"We thought she was a friend of Bella's, but it turns out she wasn't. She's after the diary now and we can't let her get Isabella."

Riley walked with the others to the door, opening it once they got there. "I'm going to look under her window. I've spent enough time in the woods to figure out how to track things. Maybe she left a trail." Riley said as he walked around the mansion, looking for Bella's open window, and if she had left any signs below it.

"Yikes. I'll go with Riley to check up on everything. Use your telekinesis if you find something out Kyria" Linas stated

"You'll be the first to know Linas, literally." Kyira smiled. Her mind was mostly filled with Zane and Marcello's thoughts, both of them frantic to find Isabella as soon as possible.

Zane bumped square into Kyria's chest, "Oomph!" he grunted, face still pale, "Should I take a bird's eye view?"
