Kyira, Bella, Marcello, and Zane: How It All Began

Kyira rolled her eyes with a smile at how silly Bella seemed sometimes.

Bella shrugged, "I don't know. We could run though my mom's house. I know where she keeps the spare key."
Her words brought to mind the phone call from Bella's mother.

"Uhm, I'd rather not go back into that...house."
If you could call it a house after how they treated their kids.

"Yah, but it's soooo fun to watch my mom's reaction when you get mud on the carpet." Bella giggled.

"Well, I was thinking maybe we could go watch that movie...oh what's it called...oh yeah...Twilight."

Bella shrugged, "Oh well. Can't be as interesting as what would happen if I ruined the laundry."

Kyira groaned, she loved screwing with her family, but going back to that house was not an option.

Zane and Marcello nodded, "Twilight sounds good." Zane smiled, "I loved the book."

"Both of us did, it freaked me out that anyone could fall in love with a fictional character, but I did."
Kyira smiled as she thought of Edward, only emo, and all she saw was Zane.

Zane laughed, "Yah. Edward made me question my own sexuality."
He giggled like a schoolgirl, "But he would have to straighten his hair and wear a lot of eyeliner."

"Heck yea!"
Kyira giggled and leaned over to whisper in Zane's ear.
"I hope you know, when I tried to imagine Edward just now, I only saw you."

Zane blushed a bright red, and giggled a little, "You have to be kidding. He is much better looking that I am."

"For girls with bad taste."
Kyira turned around and shouted.
"Like Bella over here, who had to crush on the AV kid in high school!"

Bella frowned, "Did not! I said he was cute, not that I had a crush on him! Huge difference!"
Zane couldn't help but laugh at Bella's reaction.

"So following him around like a lost puppy was not a crush? Sure Bella...sure."

"Was not..." Bella mumbled, then made a confused face, as if she wasn't sure what was going on.
Zane and Marcello shared an equally confused look.

Kyira sighed and stood. She stretched a bit and went into the bathroom, staying in there for about an hour or more.

When she came back in, Bella was on the ground, again bleeding from the corners of her mouth. She had a light sheen of sweat on her face, so Kyira could tell she had just stopped thrashing.
Zane looked up, "Her heart stopped for a few seconds, but she's fine now."

Kyira stared at Bella for a long moment before she turned and ran back into the bathroom, cursing loudly on the way.

Zane leaned against the bathroom door, "Kyira, is everything ok?"
That was such a dumb question... of course everything is just dandy!

There was no sound from the bathroom, not even the sound of breathing. Of course Kyira was just laying face down in the bathtub, but it was still eerie the silence.

"That didn't come out right..." Zane sighed, "Kyira, please talk to me. I don't want you to shut me out."

Kyira mumbled something into the bathtub, then threw a bottle of shampoo at the door that meant, "Come in if you want, but I wouldn't because I look like a mess and there's water ever where."

((Water = tears))

Zane came in tentatively in case she decided to throw something else at him. He sat down on the floor, leaning against the wall of the bathtub, "Kyira, do you want to talk to me, or do you just want me to go?"

Kyira mumbled something and sat up, hair covering her face and eye liner running down her face. She saw her face in the mirror and whined quietly, grabbing a cloth to wash her face.
"You can stay, but don't look at me right now. I'm a mess..."
