Kyira, Bella, Marcello, and Zane: How It All Began

Zane grinned as well and followed her. "No fair! You are way faster than I am!"

Kyira giggled in her hiding place.
"I don't care!"

Zane started searching for Kyira, under the bed and in the closet at first. He didn't know how many places she could even fit in. Not to say she was fat, just to say he didn't have good depth perception.

Kyira giggled from one of the closet shelves. She could fit almost anywhere.

Zane found her on her shelf and pulled her out and kissed her forehead.
"There you are!"

Kyira pouted and scowled at Zane.
"No fair!"

"How is that not fair?" he smiled, "You said if I found you, you kiss me, so pucker up, darling."

Kyira rolled her eyes and wrapped her arms around Zane's neck. She smiled as she leaned in and kissed him tenderly.

Zane smiled beneath his kiss and and closed his eyes, hopefully him being there would distract Kyira from the Bella tradgedy.

Even though Kyira was usually very easily distracted, the Bella things were still stuck in her head. After a few minutes Kyira sighed and pulled away, she looked down as she started to think about what to do for Bella.

Zane touched his nose to her forehead, "Kyira, I just want to let you know that I'll always be here for you."
Marcello came in, a weary look on his face, "Guys, it's 4:30 am. Why are you awake?" he looked down the hall and saw Bella, "Why is anyone awake?"

"Well your brother is a bit of a freak, Bella...well she's just Bella." Kyira grinned as she looked at Zane, then Marcello.

"Freak?" Zane smiled mischievously, "I'll have you know that there is a difference between looking like a girl and being a freak. I happen to just look like a girl."
Bella jumped on Marcello, then did a back flip off of him, giggling the whole time.

"Eww, does that make me a lesbian? Nasty!"
Kyira made a disgusted face and pushed Zane away. She then smiled and laughed.
"Trying to out do me Bella?"

Bella shook her head, "I couldn't if I tried."

"True there."
Kyira smiled and walked backwards to the end of the room, she run a few steps, launched herself forward and did a few front flips, spun around and landed gracefully on the balls of her feet.
"Woo...that's a rush."
Kyira grabbed the side of her head as she swayed back and forth.

Bella frowned, clearly pouting, then sulked back into the living room.

Kyira smiled at Bella and wobbled into the living room, doing a flying nose dive for the couch.
"So Bella, it's 4 am, what's your plans for this early freaking morning?"

"Hide until you forgive me for whatever it was that I did last night. I saw blood on my bedsheets." Bella smiled sheepishly, like she was afraid she was in trouble.

Kyira stopped breathing for a minute to look at Marcello and Zane with scared eyes.

"I'm sorry for whatever it was I did!" Bella begged, getting down on her knees in front of Kyira, "I probably hit my head and can't remember it, but I'm sorry anyway! Please forgive me?" Her eyes were more frightened than Kyira's. The look in them read as Please don't kick me out!

Kyira sighed and hugged Bella.
"It's not your fault, it was in your sleep. Forget about it."

Bella exhaled in relief and hugged Kyira tightly, like a child who lay in fear of being grounded who had just been told that there would be no punishment for their misdeeds.

Kyira chuckled and released Bella. She leaned back into the couch.
"So, what's the plan for now?"

"Plan for what?" Bella seemed confused as she sat at Kyira's feet, laying her head on her best friend's knees. Zane sat next to Kyira, and Marcello on the other side of Kyira, as close to Bella as he could manage.
