It's The End Of The World (As We Know It): R.I.P.

Jason nodded and shakily rose to his feet. "yeah... i'm fine just.. just a bit weakened is all" he said between breaths. He didn't meet her eyes. "I can't stay with you all" he said turning away from her. he couldn't face her. I'm just too dangerous to be kept around...

"Marcello? Who do you think would be best off on the couch?"
Kyira said as she waved her hand in front of his face.
"Hello in there! Earth to M!"

"A-are you sure? You won't drop me, will you?" Adrian asked Zane nervously. She looked up at him through the curtain of hair that had fallen over her face.
She couldn't believe her luck. She met complete stangers that were nice enough to share their food and shelter with her.
Then she realized she still had the granola bar in her hand. In one quick motion, she unwrapped it and shoved the whole thing in her mouth.
"Oh! Mmm, chocolate chip! Ohmygosh, this is so good!" She nearly screamed at how good it tasted.

Zane laughed, "I've only dropped someone once, and it was on purpose." Zane's eyes flicked over to Marcello.
Marcello stopped, "oh.. Sorry, Kyira. I blanked out there for a second. What did you say?"

Bella seemed confused as Jason spoke, "Why not? It's safer for us all if we stick together."
Well, everyone but me. I don't think I can get much safer.

Kyira laughed and for the fun of it slowly made Zane rise in the air.
"I said who do you think is best suited for the couch?"
Kyira then made Zane's arm shoot up like he was volunteering.

"it's safer if you guys stick together. if i am with you it will be a danger to you." He turned to face her now. "when i am asleep, i can't control my fire powers. nine times out of ten i wake up with the earth around me scorched to a crisp. If i stay at that girl's home, the same will happen to it." he said sighing. "and even if that doesn't do it, the beasts are pretty much after me. they're tracking me, so the farther i am from you guys the better for you. i've killed too many of them, and they know how to hold a grudge" he said. he wiped his eyes, which were starting to tear up from this. He wanted with all his heart to be able to stay, but he was cursed to be alone. he turned his back to her again, not wanting her to see him like this.

Marcello rolled his eyes, "I'll stay on the couch. It might be wierd for Bella if I was in the same room as her. And I have a feeling that Zane and Adrian will be having a good time on their own."
He smiled, Zane's thoughts along the lines of, Thank you, Marcello. I owe you one.

Bella was crying a little herself, "It's not fair, though. For you to be alone while the rest of us are together..." She wiped her nose on her sleeve, sniffing, "I don't care. You are going to stay with us." Her lower lip shook a little as a tear fell down her cheek.

Jason walked up to her. "i know it's not fair but don't worry about me Bella. I can take care of myself" he said gently as he wiped her tears away, doing his best to keep back his own. "it's what's best for you and your friends" he said softly. he looked into her eyes wishing she would understand. the more she tried to pull him back the more he hurt.

Kyira shrugged.
"Well, I actually wanted you in the room with two beds. So you could watch out for Bella. I can read her mind, doesn't mean I can stop her from being...stupid."

Marcello shrugged, "I trust her. She won't be able to hurt herself anyway." Marcello's thoughts didn't stop worrying, though.
Zane cautiously put his hand in Adrian's, waiting for her reaction.

Bella kept on crying, "I-I don't care!" She said, her voice still shaking and her lower lip still quivering. "I-I trust you... That's all t-that matters! They all listen to me, anyway!" Her eyes were now red as she wiped her eyes with her arm rather roughly.

Kyira stood and gave Marcello a tiny hug.
"Don't worry, she's fine and she will be fine. You guys don't give her enough credit." Kyira whispered.
Kyira pulled back and gave him a small smile.
"Oh and Vann, would you feel weird if I asked you to stay in the double bed room with me?"
Vann looked up in a bit of surprise.
"Sure...I guess...I mean, if you really want me to..." He replied slowly.
"Of course I do silly. I think you're someone I need close by though, seeing as everyone else is either protecting or being protected."
Meaning none of these people would care if Kyira magically disappeared

Marcello nodded, not giving away anything else with his face. He couldn't help but worry about her. Even if she was impervious to any kind of death. She was his friend. And, if he had his way, then maybe even something more.

Jason gently wiped her eyes of tears. "it's not a matter of whether or not you trust me... I can't control my powers. no amount of trust will keep them in check" he said quietly and gently took her hands, his face close to hers now. "i'm just not safe" he said quietly. he wished she would understand.

Kyira sighed, then sat down beside Vann once again.
I really hate how shallow minded my friends are, even after I tell them about how everyone feels. Like I didn't even say anything.
Kyira huffed and crossed her arms, making a frustrated expression.
"M, I really need to talk to you one day about how listening to me is something vital, especially when it comes to your love life." Kyira said so low as to where only Marcello heard.

Marcello nodded to Kyira's comment, "I do listen to you, I'm just a little slow to act."

Bella bit her lip to try and keep it still as she nodded weakly. "I-it's j-just not f-fair..." she mumbled and looked down at her feet. There was still a tear in the corner of her eye that hadn't quite decided to leave yet. She sniffed again and wiped her eyes on her shoulder, since Jason had her hands.

"Extremely slow..." Kyira mumbled.
She stretched out on the fountains edge, feeling the cold air as her shirt pulled up a bit to reveal some of her stomach.
"When she gets done talking to Jason, do you guys want to just head to the condo? We need to get stuff situated and food served I suppose."
Vann looked down at Kyira and saw a slight gleam off of her belly button ring and nodded in agreement.

Marcello and Zane nodded at the exact same time, like some sort of telepathy between the two brothers. Zane looking like the evil twin while Marcello resembled an arch angle carved by an artist.

Kyira smiled a goofy grin and rolled over and fell into the fountain water.
"Oh my gawd!!! That water is FREEZING!!" Kyira screamed as she jumped out.
"What the heck was I thinking, I forgot I was on a fountain edge...gawd!!"
Vann muffled his laughter with his shirt sleeve.

Zane simply rolled his eyes, clearly not amused. Even stranger, his thoughts didn't stray to any dirty thoughts about the wet clothes clinging to Kyira's body. Marcello laughed like a maniac.

"Gawd...fricking...grr!!!"
Kyira hadn't realized she had fell in until she felt so cold. She pulled off her shirt, thankfully wearing a mid-drift undershirt, and began to ring out the water.
"Ugh...would anyone be a doll and go get me a shirt...and maybe another pair of pants." Kyira said as she noticed her pants wear soaked and very cold.

Marcello couldn't breathe he was laughing so hard and Zane seemed... preoccupied with making sure Adrian didn't mind him holding her hand.

Kyira kicked Marcello and gave him a angry look.
"Will one of you morons PLEASE go get my some new clothes?"

Marcello jumped back, "O-ow..." he laughed some more before going back to the hot topic to get Kyira some clothes. There probably wasn't any stores she would even wear clothes from.

Kyira sat back down, this time on the floor at Vann's feet and put her head in between his legs.
Oh my word...she is very close contact isn't she...? Vann thought.
Kyira giggled and closed her eyes.

Adrian blushed furiously, her usually pale face flushing a bright crimson. She squeezed Zane's hand gently to let him know that she didn't mind him holding her hand.
"Well, Zane if you're sure you won't drop me, then I'd love to go flying with you." Adrian said, as she looked up at Zane, batting her eyelashes flirtingly.
What am I doing? She thought, mentally scolding herself for acting so out of character. Ugh, he's so gorgeous I can't stand it! And he seems so nice... but that girl...his ex...what's her name...Kara, Kyra, Kyira? Kyira, thats it. I can tell that she's using that one boy to make Zane jealous...maybe Zane is just using me to make her jealous...?"
