Vampire Diary Ch 2: Now or Never

((he wasn't using a weapon, he was usin his claws.))
Jason refused to let go, even though his hands and feet were burning. he reached up and tried to claw the beast's eyes out.

Adrian nodded a little and herded Bella back, away from the demon. "Well, hurry up, we don't have much time."

Bella fumbled with the pages until she found something, "Ah! Here. It says it's name is Baruro, a demon of darkness. In the dark, it gains a lot of power, but when light hits it, even if it's just a laser pointer or a small flashlight, it turns into a small lizard."

"Nathan, the ceiling, colapse it!" Adrian shouted as Nathan destroyed the pillars, knocking part of the ceiling down. The light shrunk the demon down. "Buh-bye tiny." Adrian said with a grin as he stomped the thing's head under his heel.

Jason slowly stood up. the smell of burnt flesh pretty much filling up the room. his hands were bleeding from burns, not to mention other parts of his body. "if that thing was here... i don't like what it must mean for dianne" he muttered.

Bella held her breath, "I don't like this at all..." her words sounded hoarse and choked, as though she was about to cry.
Zane landed next to her, and put one arm around her shoulders, "We won't know until we find her, Bella."

Adrian smiled somewhat, a change from his usual cheekyness. "You're doing good, kiddo, don't worry, I'm sure everything's fine."

Jason's hands were dripping blood now, but he ignored it as he sniffed the air trying to pick up a scent of dianne

Kalvin sighed, "Can someone shut Riot up so I can get a lock on Dianne?"

"hey riot, why are we here again?" jason asked looking at riot as if he was confused himself. it always shut him up before.

Riot blanked out, and Kalvin sighed, "Thanks." he walked forward, his eyes closed as he moved down the halls until he came to an ornate bedroom where Dianne's body lay on the red satin sheets, an open book clutched tightly in her hands as her red eyes, open and alarmed, focused in front of her. She was pale and perfect-looking as porcelain, the only signs of any violence to her body was a splatter of blood across her cheek.
Bella gasped and had to struggle to stay standing, every part of her body wanting her to break down and cry right there.
Zane held Bella up, holding her close and trying to calm her in a very fatherly sort of manner.

((Dead, I presume?))
Adrian flinched and took Bella's arm. "Want me to take her outside?" He asked Zane.

Jason took one look and then moved away. he wouldn't admit it but he had a weak stomach when it came to deaths. He waited a bit down the hall. He loooked at his bleeding hands and sighed, trying to wrap them up as best he could with a piece of cloth.

Zane nodded to Adrian.

Jason sighed and tossed the cloths away. they weren't helping at all. he couln't get it tight enough to help.

Bella backed up into the hall, sinking to the ground in shock, "She's... dead..."

Jason moved next to her and sat down. "try not to think about it that way." he said. "she just went on a bit of a trip" he said softly to her. he wished his hands would stop dripping blood.

Bella looked up, "I'm 18 you know. I know she's dead." she looked over at Jason's hands, "Do you not know how to treat burns?" She asked with a sigh.

Jason sighed. "honestly? i haven't got the faintest clue" he said sighing. "i'm a fighter, the only thing i know about stopping injuries is to put a wrap on it" he said.

"Well, with a burn, you have to cool it and make sure it's clean, so I'm recommending some cold water." Bella said simply.

Adrian nodded to Zane and followed Bella. "She's a person, not a goldfish you idiot." He said to Jason. She was on a trip? Blah. "Do you need to go outside?" He asked Bella softly.

Jason shook his head. "excuse me for trying to help" he muttered standing up. he started walking away, and it could be seen parts of his legs were bleeding too.

Bella nodded, "I need a distraction..."

Adrian nodded and held his hand out. "Come on." He said with an unusual kindness.

Bella took Adrian's hand and followed him out, starting to feel sick to her stomach.
