Vampire Diary Ch 5: Prince of Darkness

Bella nodded, "It would be helpful. I'm starving." she commented.

Jason smiled and lept from the rafters and landed in his gorgeous silver wolf form as he left. He returned about five minutes later in human form with a bushel of apples as well as some cooked beef. He set it before her as a bit of a test to see if she had the same side effect zane had been afflicted with.

Bella went straight for the apple, munching on it happily.

Jason laughed and looked at zane. "well now we know it wasn't just you that gets a side effect of apple cravings with that medicine" he said before looking back at bella. Maybe it was just the way he was sitting, but Jason looked very thin.

"Then you eat the other stuff. I weigh 100 lbs, even. I won't be able to eat this all and I don't want it to go to waist." Bella asked as Zane chuckled.

Jason smiled and nodded. "htank you" he said grabbing the cooked beef and munching rather hungrily on it. a slight breeze blew through their shelter and by how his shirt moved it was obvious he was WAY too thin.

"Well, you can't possibly weigh too much more than me, and you're a lot taller. Seriously, you need to eat more."

Jason chuckled. "sorry food wasn't exactly readily available for me before" he explained. "and you're right, i'm only 125 right now" he admitted chuckling.

"Wow. Anorexic much?" Adrian mused, still sitting next to Bella.

Jason chuckled. "i'd like to see you look this good after being starved and tortured for a couple decades" he said in grim humor.

"Hah, I'd still look beter than that if someone skinned me." He retorted.

"Also, you don't really need to eat, right?" Bella asked Adrian.

He shrugged. "Well, yes, I do, but I can fast for quite a while. Vampires can last indeffinetly, but I can only go a decade or so without anything before I keel over. But that by no means I'm in any sort of condition for anything really, otherwise. I'm pretty much incapable of anything after two or three years of no blood or food." He explained.

Bella nodded, "Speaking of which, how are you holding up on that?" she asked.

"Blood, or food?" He asked, smiling a bit.

"Either." Bella asked.

"Either would be good." He mused. "Why? Are you offering?" He asked, smiling a little.

"Food? Yes." She said offering him an apple, "Blood? Maybe."

He smiled a bit and took the apple. "Well, thanks, either way." He mused, taking a bite out of it.

Bella bit into hers as well, savoring the taste, "I'm curious, how long have you gone without drinking?"

He pursed his lips, thinking. "About a week bfore I arrived at your house." He said.

Bella held out her arm, "In that case, you might need to."

He smiled a bit. "All I get is your arm?" He asked.

"Would something else work better?" She asked.

"Neck, preferably." He said.
