Kyira held back a sob and nodded.
"I am too..."

Zane rubbed her back, like you would to comfort a child, "It's OK if you want to cry a little."

"It won't help things if I cry, so why bother."
Kyira closed her eyes and sighed.

"It'll help you to feel better." he said softly.

Not really...it'll make me feel weak and like I'm giving her parents what they want..."

"But you aren't. And it's perfectly fine to cry sometimes."

Kyira still didn't cry, she just couldn't do it anymore.

((No... Zane just wants her to know it's OK.))
Zane sighed and continued to hold her close to him, "How about we see if Bella remembers where that spare key is?"
He smiled mischievously.

Kyira laughed, it didn't really sound like a laugh, more like a cough.
"I know where it is, under the big vase on the porch steps."

"Why don't we go have some fun with dear mother?" He suggested.

Kyira grinned, she would definitely enjoy this.
"But we can't bring Bella, they might try to pull something. Have Marcello take her somewhere, wait...take her to this address."
Kyira pulled out a business card for one of her friends.
"She can hide Bella and they'll never find her. Just until we get back anyway."

Zane nodded and relayed the instructions to Marcello, who was more than happy to stay away from the trouble he knew that they would start.

"So, what do you plan on doing in the Strauss mansion?"

Zane drove into the Home Depot parking lot, "It involves spray paint."

Kyira clapped and climbed out of the car.
"Gay pride their house?"

"But of course." Zane grinned.

Kyira grinned and tackle hugged Zane.
"I swear you have the best mind ever."

Zane smiled brightly, "I'm just good when it comes to jokes."

"Obviously. Rainbow paint needs some sparkle to make it extra gay-pride...glitter!"

Zane high-fived Kyira and ran to the aisle with all the spray paint.

Kyira skipped around the aisle's, grabbing as many bottles of glitter as she could. When she finished, she sat cross-legged in front of the first check out.

Zane had slid himself under the handle of the shopping cart and was pushing it to the checkout like a scooter.

Kyira laughed and put her bottles in the cart.
"You're too much sometimes Zane."

Zane frowned, "I hope not. I'd like to be just enough."
He flipped out his credit card to pay for the paint.
