Kyira, Bella, Marcello, and Zane: How It All Began

Kyira scowled at Bella and spun again.
"Right foot red."

Bella moved her right foot to the red circle, then her eyes rolled back in her head and she hit the ground, blood dripping from the corners of her mouth.

Kyira tossed the spinner across the room and dove onto the mat.
"Bella, Bella, are you okay? Bella?!?!"
Kyira looked up at Zane and Marcello, terror in her eyes.

Marcello lifted her head into his lap so she wouldn't hit it. Her body jerked around on the floor until it finally lay still. Zane felt for a pule, "It's faint, but it's there." he said hopefully.

"You, take her to the car. You, go get some wash clothes and towels."
Kyira rushed into the kitchen and grabbed her keys. Practically running out the door.

Marcello lifted her onto his back and took her out to the car, Zane grabbing the things Kyira had told him to.

Once the boys were in the car, Kyira jerked it out of the drive and sped towards the hospital.
"Damn Bella for being those sickly people's daughter. If it weren't for them, she probably wouldn't be sick! They have enough money to find a cure for cancer, but they won't even try to help their own kid!"
Kyira cursed a bit under her breath.

Zane gingerly rested a hand on her shoulder, "Are you alright? Just try to focus on the road: it'll help you calm down."

"There's no way in hell I'm alright. I'm going to royally beat those freaks she has for parents."
Kyira grounded her teeth together at the thought of them.

"Are they that bad?" Marcello asked, a bit worried. Bella seemed so nice, why would anyone be cruel to her? Sure she was a little nuts, but she meant well.

"Yes, they refer to her like a possession, not a person. I'm surprised they didn't put her up for adoption, but then that would give them a bad rep."

"Wow. Who are her parents? Are they really famous or something?" Zane asked, clearly not having made the connection that this was Bella Strauss.

"The oh so wonderful Strauss family. Bunch of pricks if you ask me."
Kyira looked in the rear view mirror to check on Bella and shuddered at the blood still on her face.

Marcello grabbed a baby wipe from the front to wipe it off of her, then looked over at Kyira with a surprised expression, "As in the billionaire Strauss family?" he asked, trying to verify what he thought she was saying.

"Obviously. What other rich, pompous low lives would treat her this way? There the only Strauss' that would ever be this heartless."

"How long has she been like this?" Zane asked, a bit of anger in his voice. How could they do that to Bella? Their own daughter?

"Bella's pretty much always been sick, but they've treated her like this ever since they realized she wasn't ever going to be like them."

"By 'like them' do you mean cruel or not sick?" Zane said angrily.

"Cruel. They would have easily paid for her medical bills, if they'd had any idea she would be just as stuck up and worthless as they were."

"That's... pure evil." Marcello frowned as they finally reached the hospital.

"Tell me about it."
Kyira pulled the door up beside the walk-in door for the ER.
"You guys take her in, when it comes paperwork time tell them to wait for me, I'll know what to do."

Marcello and Zane nodded and did as they were told. Kyira finished the paperwork and Bella was taken into the back while Kyira, Marcello, and Zane were asked to wait in the waiting room. After about an hour, the doctor asked for Kyira to come into Bella's room with him.

Kyira stood, a bit woozy from lack of sleep. She followed the doctor and stepped into Bella's room.

"She's fine right now." He said softly, trying not to wake Bella up, "But she has a minor concussion from where she hit her head." He paused, as if not sure how to say the next part, "Bella's parents have disowned her. She still has a few hundred million in the bank under her name, but she has it set up so legally if her parents gave her up, then you were in charge of her medically. But, as for her family, she's legally an orphan now."

"Give it me straight...she has no money...or what? Does she need to be adopted or something doc?"
