Kyira, Bella, Marcello, and Zane: How It All Began

"You have no idea..."
Kyira mumbled into his shoulder.

Bella's phone was vibrating on the table in front of them. Zane handed it to Kyira, "It says 'Mom' on the caller ID."

Kyira grumbled and answered.
"Hello unholy mother of my best friend, how might I help you this oh so glorious day?"

"Kyira, darling, that was most unbecoming." Bella's mother said as if Kyira were her own daughter that she was correcting on manners, "I was simply calling to inform Bella that she needs to pack her things and come back. I'll not have her out where she can breathe word of this illness. We need to keep this secret. Maybe when she dies, we can tell the press that it was an accident at home. She could fall on a knife."

"Don't speak to me as if i were your demented offspring. Bella will not be coming back to your house, she will be staying here. You and your sick f*** of a husband are not her guardians. If you come to take her, I will have the police involved. Good day Ma'am."
Kyira added as much sarcasm as she could ans slammed the phone shut.

"That was impressive." Zane smiled, "She's like your daughter more than your best friend, I'd say."

As far as that...witch...is concerned I am her mother now."
Kyira signed as she tossed the phone to the other end of the couch.

Zane nodded and held her close to him. "You can try to sleep some more if you like. It's about 4 am, but I think that might be a little early for any of us to be awake."
Bella skipped into the living room, "Good morning!" she was as energetic and peppy as always, but at 4 am.

Kyira pointed to the bedroom, a deathly look on her face.
"Bella, bed. Now!"

"I just got up..." Bella muttered.

"It's 4 in the morning, wait another 2 hours then get up."
Kyira huffed and curled back up into a ball on the couch.

Bella laid down where she was on the hall carpet and closed her eyes, making fake snoring noises.

Kyira turned and threw a shoe at Bella's foot.
"Shh!"

Bella smiled playfully and ran back into her room.

Kyira sighed as she rolled over, forgetting there was barely any room on the couch. She rolled right off into the floor with a thud.

Zane pulled her back to her feet, "I wonder to what extent Mrs. Strauss would go to get Bella back. They aren't exactly short on resources."

"Well, they tried this once before, they won't try it again after what I did."
Kyira smirked a bit at old memories.

Zane raised an eyebrow, "I have to ask."

"They had two 'big' guys come to take her, they left here on a stretcher. I took karate as a kid, got very good quickly. I beat the two until blood came from places it shouldn't come from."

"Wow." Zane said softly, "Remind me not to get on your bad side."
He grinned and touched noses with her again.

Kyira grinned evilly as she did a back flip from where Zane was and got into her "fight" position.
"Bring it on emo boy."

Zane waved his hands in the air and cowered behind the couch, "I am at your mercy! Do with me as you wish!"

Kyira smirked playfully.
"You really shouldn't of said that."
Kyira pounced over the couch, landing on top of Zane. She smiled playfully and kissed him passionately on the lips.

Zane put one hand on the side of her head and kissed her equally as passionately, his lips moving rhythmically and tenderly.

Kyira grinned in the kiss and jumped back up.
"If you want more dear sir, you will have to come and get me."
With that Kyira disappeared into another room in the house.
