Kyira, Bella, Marcello, and Zane: How It All Began

Kyira pushed herself closer to him, but not in a forward way. She didn't want to push him too far.

Zane continued to hold her, his lips moving like a perfect love song, forming around hers like symphony taking flight on the keys of a piano to find a home in the heart of a young girl who dared believe in love.

((You've been writing a lot lately haven't you? Or just trying to make Kyira go nuts...))
Kyira felt herself sway a bit, taken back by Zane, she fetl overwhelemed but in a good way.

When he finally stopped, Zane was still holding Kyira to him, "You seem tired. Do you want to go to bed?"
((Actually, I just felt like driving you crazy.))

"I kinda am...after what happened today with Bella and all this crap..."
Kyira whispered.

Zane brushed her hair out of her eyes and lifted her off the ground, holding her body next to his, "Then sleep now. I'll stay up and watch Bella if it helps you sleep better. I can nap during the day."

"Bella will be fine, you don't have to. Besides, I have this little baby monitor system set up for if something does go wrong and something happens. She's never had something happen in her sleep."

Zane carried her into her room, "You should still get some rest."
He started humming to try and get her to sleep, then sang softly:
"Winter Rose
Beautiful Dove
Hold me close
teach me to love.

Winter Rose
moving fast
let the rain fall
I want this to last."

Kyira closed her eyes and rested her head against his shoulder, trying to sleep.
Why does this kid have to be so utterly amazing...?

Zane continued to hum softly to her untill she fell asleep, dreaming sweetly and without care.

Kyira slept softly, like usual, able to waken if anything were to happen.

Zane recognized the softness in her sleep and didn't move, simply letting her sleep next to him while he slept lightly as well, to keep himself from waking her up with his movement. At about 3 am, a thrashing sound came from Bella's room and Zane woke with a start.

As soon as Kyira heard the sound Kyira was up and down the hall in a matter of seconds. She burst through the door and went to the bed.
"Bella?!?!"

Bella's head was turned at a slight angle, blood leaking out of the corner of her mouth. Zane lifted her and tilted her head to let all the blood drain so she didn't drown.

"Oh gawd Bella! Do we need to take her back to the hospital?"
Kyira looked worried to death as she heard Marcello get up.

Zane sat her back down and checked the pulse on her arm, "Her pulse is back to normal, and they said there was nothing they could do for her, so I'd say we could keep her here."
Marcello ambled in, in a weary stupor, "Is Bella ok?"

"Gawd, no! She's bleeding from the mouth now, there's nothing we can do anymore but wait for her to die! If she doesn't die first, I will for worrying!"
Kyira fell to the floor and started crying into the carpet.

Zane held Kyira close to him, "I can't say that everything will be alright no matter how much I want to. I don't know anymore. But, I will promise you that we will keep trying. For Bella."
Marcello continued holding Bella's head forward so she wouldn't drown on her own blood. There wasn't anything he could say.

Kyira kept crying, but not as loudly.
"Let's take her to the bathroom, clean her up and this. Try to make her think it's not that bad."

"We could say she fell out of bed and hit her mouth." Marcello suggested.
Zane nodded and went to the bathroom to get a washcloth to clean her up.

"We can try, if we can't get the blood stains gone then that's the only excuse we have."

Marcello nodded, brushing a lock of Bella's hair from her face.
Zane came back and startee cleaning the sheets. It seemed to come out. Mostly.

"Good thing I have white carpet, bleach will get the rest out..."
Kyira stood up and went to the washroom, grabbing the bleach and come back with a scrub brush.

Zane took it quietly and cleaned the mess up. At this point, Bella had stopped bleeding and was sleeping as if nothing had ever happened.

Kyira could only watch Bella sleep for so long before she grew sadder and had to leave. She went into the lviing room, laying face down in the couch crying.
