It's The End Of The World (As We Know It): R.I.P.

Jason kneeled next to bella and marcello rather clumsily. he felt her forehead. "she has a fever..." he said then looked at zane. "can you bring me any herbs and medicine that is around here?" he asked. "and also a cool washcloth" he said looking at bella.

"I need to get back up there to check on Bells..."
Kyira stood and walked back out the door, with Vann right behind her.
"You want to fly?"
"Sure..."
Kyira grabbed his hands and lifted herself and him up towards the roof. Telepathy allowed her to lift herself, it took her a lot of practice, but she was finally able to do it.

Zane looked over at Jason, "Neither one of us knows anything about plants. I know there is a pharmacy down the road, if you need anything from there."
Marcello handed Bella over to Jason, "I'll get your washcloth." His wings came out and he flew off into the sky.

Kyira landed on the roof with Vann and let go of his hand. She felt wrong being this close to him now.
"Hey...here's M gone?"

"Bella isn't doing real well right now. Jason sent Marcello for some stuff." Zane explained quickly. All this tension with Bella was making him sick to his stomach.

yeah bring me one of everything that you can carry zane" he said loooking down at bella. "meanwhile ill see if i can figure out what would fix this best" he said and started examining bella's wound. he checked her pulse and did a few basic tests to see if he could figure out what was wrong. he looked up at kyira when she spoke. "he went to get bella a cold washcloth. she's got a fever among other things" he said going back to his tests.

Kyira could feel the tension Zane felt and wanted to get away for a bit.
"Vann, could you stay with Bella and Jason for a while, I think Zane and I need to catch our thoughts.
Kyira walked over and held her hand out to Zane, with a sad yet sympathetic face.
"Lets go get something to drink for these guys, they might need it. I think we need a break for a minute anyway."

Zane nodded and flew off into the distance with Kyira. "I need to grab a few things for them first though, alright?"
Just as he left, Marcello came back with the washcloth. "Here you are." He handed it to Jason. The look in his eyes was one of genuine worry for Bella.

"Fine with me, I just need to get away. I need a friend, Vann's a nice guy...but he doesn't know me like you."
Kyira sighed and hugged herself. She was cold, but she didn't care. Being able to feel the wind felt good.
"We'll need to get water for them and a few sodas."

"Jason said for me to get one of everything I could carry from the pharmacy. You go get those, and we'll meet back somewhere." Zane said firmly. He didn't want to risk anything with Bella.

"thanks marcello this should help" he said putting the washcloth over bella's forehead. he looked at her wound and knew it would be bad. "Marcello, about fifty miles south of here is a blue flower with red thorns. i need about ten of those flowers and keep as much of the stem and thorns on it as possible. please hurry. ill use what zane brings back in the meantime" he said looking up at marcello with a look that told him this was urgent.

"Alright"
I wish he cared about me half as much as Vann did. Zane knows me better, but he doesn't care about me more like he should.
Kyira grabbed 2 big gallons of water and a 2 liter of cold soda and ran back outside to meet Zane.

Zane was waiting on Kyira with his arms full of pharmacy bags, "Not sure what we might need." He said quickly, "C'mon. I don't know how urgent this is, but I don't want to find out."
Zane took off into the sky.

Marcello nodded, "Alright. I'll be back soon." He took off again, vanishing into the blue sky.
Bella's head rolled over as she gave a soft groan. As if she felt someone there, her head moved toward Jason.

Kyira sped past him, wanting to hurry to Bella. She used her telepathy to speed him up.
"Zane, I'm going to carry the medicine now, we need to get it to Bella asap. And I need you flying faster, that stuff is slowing you down a bit."
Kyira then took over carrying the medicine and went faster.

Zane increased his speed now that the extra weight was gone. He knew he needed to focus on helping Bella, but he couldn't help but keep thinking about Adrian. Somehow, just in the short time he had known her, he had memorized exactly the way her face looked. He kept dwelling on that image, still focusing enough to maintain his speed without crashing.

Jason gently ran his fingers through bella's hair. he made sure the washcloth stayed on her forehead. he looked towards the south. marcello you had better get back fast... you don't know how dire this is

Kyira felt a little wobbly.
"Zane! Take the stuff!"
Kyira was only able to get the items in his arms before she passed out from exhaustion. The extra strain on her mind had wiped her of energy. She slowly fell and tubbled on the hard pavement below. Not a scratch on her.

Zane managed to catch the stuff, but wasn't fast enough to get Kyira, "Kyira! Are you alright?" He asked, helping her up, "C'mon, we have to hurry... for Bella."

Marcello arrived quickly, his heart and breathing quick, "I went as... fast as I... could." He managed to get out, handing Jason the flower he had asked for, "I'm faster than Zane when I try." He gave a crooked smile.
Bella's heartbeat was slowing down.

"Zane...you idiot...you shouldn't have checked on me. You should have gone straight to Bella." Kyira mumbled as she stood, still a bit weak.
"Get out of here!" Kyira yelled softly.
"Get to her, she needs you now..."

Zane nodded and took off, he probably shouldn't have checked, but it was instinctive. He knew Bella would be torn to pieces if he hadn't have and Kyira would have ended up hurt.

Jason nodded. "good thing too" he said. he pulled the petals off the flowers and popped them in his mouth, starting to chew on them. meanwhile, he snapped the stems in two, letting the fluids from inside drip onto her wounds. the juice made the wound bubble as it took out the poison. once all of the stems were drained and the wound was clean. he put bella in a sitting position and opened her mouth. he kissed her gently, pushing the juice from the petals into her mouth then closing it, rubbing her throat until she swallowed it. he let out a breath. "now all we can do is wait and hope it gets through in time" he said.

"Jackass..."
Kyira hit her head. She never should have cared about him. He only cares about 2 people, Adrian and Bella. If it weren't for Bella she wouldn't even have stayed in the group.
"I should just leave them...they have the condo...what more could they need from me..."
Kyira stood and walked away from the building, heading back towards the mall. She would stay in the Hot Topic. It felt more like home than anywhere else right now.

Bella didn't move for a long time. Zane had gotten there and been waiting for a while before she stirred. When she did, it was just a slight movement, but her heart rate began to pick back up to normal speed and the heat on her face died down. She still was asleep, but her vitals were better. Marcello heard her heart beat pick up and let loose a sigh of relief.

Vann sat on his knees next to Bella as she started breathing heavier.
I wonder where Kyira is...
"Uhm...Zane...where's Kyira at...?"

Zane paused, "I thought she was coming back. She was right behind me when we left." Now he was worried. He might not always like Kyira, but she was his friend. He didn't want to be anything more than that, but still... He didn't want to loosed her friendship.
