"Energy freak. Did you not see the trash can full of Monsters next to my desk?"

"Not really... I don't take energy drinks... I get hyper...." He said, shaking his head a little.

"They keep me awake from 3 in the morning until about 11 at night. I live on about 5 hours sleep."

He grimmaced. "I live on an hour of sleep, a liter of kahlua, and whatever excitement I get from tis job." He said.

kyira's cell phone started to ring. it was a call from the director. if he was calling it had to be something important.

"Sheesh, when I was a level one, which was about a week...I slept at least 12 hours. Training was all we did for about 4 or 5 hours. The rest of the time we goofed off and did small work."

"Lucky you. The higher ups have me doing usless crap for everyone." He said with a shrug.

the phone rang again, vibrating too. it was a very important call.

Kyira cursed loudly and pulled out her phone.
"Gawd, what the f*** do you want Harry?"

Sebastian shrugged and raised his eyebrow, wondering if he'd get to tag along on a mission.

"kyira, jason was injured testing our new, worst case scenario bot. it was designed to replicated Samy the shot. i'm sure you remember him.. he was your first big mission.in any case, it went haywire and grabbed an assault rifle filled with live ammo. jason was the only one it targeted, so he's the only one hurt. his legs are 75% shrapnel. he will likely have to get prothetic legs. in any case, until he can work again, you will take on his missions. you should wish him the best. he hates being cooped up, almost as much as he hates the idea of loosing his legs." harry said sighing. "just give him someone to talk to" harry said. "that is all." he whispered something along the lines of "im glad it wasn't you" then hung up.

Kyira rolled her eyes and hung up.
"Jason lost his legs. He's lucky he didn't lose his life. And what makes him think I should be his moral support. I barely talk to that guy."

Sebastian blinked. "Lost his legs? Wow, that sucks. But I kinda know what you mean."

"Oh well. I'm not in a rush back, it's not like he's my brother or something. Thank God for only children."

He laughed a bit and held up his glass. "Cheers to condoms and the pill. I had a few siblings though."

Jason sighed as he sat in the bed. he had only recently been told he would have to get prosthetic legs. he hated the idea of it. a few tears rolled down his face. he was going to have to be a test subject, again. he didn't know that they had asked kyira for moral support. it was probably because she was one of the only ones he talked to at all. his shoulder was wrapped up. he didn't dare look at his legs. tomorrow he would get the prosthetics amputation. they were to be cut just a few inches short of his butt. nothing had been injured except his two legs.

Kyira smiled and raised her coffee cup.
"Here here. I can't stand family, they just get in the way as far as I'm concerned."

Sebastian nodded. "So far, thats how it seems." He said as he tapped their cups slightly then sipped from his.

"I know from experience. I had a family until I was 5. Parents left me at an orphanage cuz I was a burden. I was always hungry and crying, so they left me. And I'm glad they did. Or else I wouldn't be able to fight like I do or see the world for what it really is."

Sebastian nodded a little. "The Mafia mowed down my parents when I was little. It was just me and my siblings and we kind of lost touch on the streets." He said.

"I know how that is. Bunch of kids came into that orphanage after living on the streets. They lost brothers and sisters because they'd run off to get a better life and so on..."

"Yeah... Know anyone with a last name of Lecroix by any chance?" He asked.

"Nope. I never got last names in there. I didn't talk to anyone really, not until they asked me if I knew how to fight, that's when Harry found me."

He nodded a little. "They found me in the slammer. I got busted at a small battle for gang turf." He said with a shrug.

Jason had finally said. "screw it just get this butchering over with..." now he was being operated on. his normal legs being hacked off, and now prosthetic ports being attatched to the base of his stumps. now they brought out the metal legs. it was this part that hurt the most. to get the metal parts hooked up to our nerves was more pain then many people could stand. they asked jason if he wanted to wait. this was his response. "screw it give me all the pain at once" Jason said sighing and they attaatched the prosthetics, now they activated them. the instant pain it caused forced jason to scream out in pain. he hadn't so much as flinched when he got shot, yet this made him cry out like a small child.
