"Shhh, shhh...." Riley whispered softly to Kyira as she panicked over the gurgling Bella. The realization that Bella was not "Dead" but was instead "Dying" seemed to drain the frantic state from Riley. He seemed much more calm than moments before. As she lay her down in the grass, Riley knelt next to Bella, both of his hands closing on her neck, looking almost as if he were choking her. A pale glow emanated from Riley, shrieks and caws sounding in the distance. His hands held tight to the gash on Bella's neck, and he opened his mouth, a strange, fragmented noise escaping it. His lips moved as if he spoke, but the sound was more akin to the chittering of insects, baying of hounds, rush of the wind, and whispers of unintelligible, infernal things all at once. Under his palms, Bella's flesh knit back together, cells replicating at breakneck speed as blood was pushed out of the closing wound, her body going into overtime to recreate the fluid from nothing more than Riley's magic. As her wound sealed, Riley moved one hand to cover her eyes, his spell forcing her into unconsciousness. He fell back onto his but, sighing heavily as he looked at his bloodied hands. Birds, a mass of them, circled above, slowly coming to perch in the trees- there were various sorts and species, but they were all either white or gray. "We... we need to get her somewhere safe."
