Jason was at the very rear. He stayed about five paces back, constantly looking back at every sound he heard. It was times like this he hated being able to hear everything.

Bella stumbled a bit, a certain clumsiness she picked up from her mother, but continued to walk.

"Adrian, is this going to be like one of those long eerie tunnels that go on for years and we die inside of?" Kyira called jokingly.

Jason was walking fully backward. He was almost positive something was comming down the tunnel after them now.

He smiled a bit. "Three and a half miles, littered with skeletons, but same nonetheless." He said back to Kyira. He turned back to Jason. "It's not big enough to fit in here. Calm down."

"I never said it was Dracula I am hearing" he called back. he didn't smell like a vampire whatever it was...

"It's not. I know exactly what it is. Daddy dearest could get here easily. And you wouldn't hear him comming. This is Behemoth... it can't fit in here."

"I really wish some beasts of legend stayed legend" Jason said sighing. "let me guess it will be waiting for us on the other end? meanwhile dracula can take his time catching up" he remarked a bit unnerved.

Jason was really getting unnerved. He sensed something getting closer to them... some great peril or something of the like growing closer...

As they moved closer a running noise could be heard and a large swarm of mice ran past them.
"Oooh,scary."

Zane couldn't help but laugh at Bella's squeamishness of mice.

Bella walked on, and soon they were at the end of the tunnel.

At the end of the tunnel was a wall, which Adrian pushed open. Below was a rushing river with a staircase leading to the water's edge.

"are there boats nearby or are we swimming?" Jason asked looking at the river.

"Swimming." He mused, smiling a bit.

Zane chuckled, "I'll fly you across."

Jason looked at bella. "just hang onto my back. I'm a strong enough swimmer to get us where we're going" he said smiling a bit at her.
