It's The End Of The World (As We Know It): R.I.P.

"Well...Zane's pretty into the Adrian chick, I don't see why he should be mad at me for liking Kyira kinda. He's made it pretty obvious Kyira's not the one he wants. Besides, all I'm doing is trying to survive and sorta protect Kyira, she's the first person to accept me in this world. I feel like I owe her that much."
Vann gave a half grin and ruffled his hair. It shook slightly, but moved back into place.

"I think Zane likes Kyira more than he knows," Marcello smiled, "Alright. Here's the hot topic. You going in, or me?"

jason looked up at her and held her gaze. "well... i was wondering where your affections lay" he admitted and looked away not sure what to say or do now that he had told her what he had been thinking.

Bella seemed confused, "Why would you be wondering that?" She thought about it for a second, then blushed a bright shade of red at her own ignorance, "Oh... I hadn't noticed that..." she laid down on her stomach, "Well, if you are referring to you and Marcello, I'm still trying to decide myself. Things have been pretty confusing lately. But, I have to say, I think I like you better right now." she smiled. She had been thinking about ways to get herself killed after she had seen Jason die, she knew that that meant something. And in her opinion, you learned the most about yourself in times of crisis.

Jason smiled over at her when she said she liked him better. He slid a bit closer to her and gently hugged her. "i'm glad to hear that" he said softly and hugged her close to him. he didn't want to let go, especially not now.

Bella smiled at him, her cheeks a warm pink from her blushing. She let herself feel warm and at home for a little while. It was hard now that everyone was gone, but she managed to force a smile anyways. It had always been something she did automatically, but now that she suddenly felt so at ease, a tear slid down her cheek as she began to finally let herself cry over all that they had lost in the end of the world.

"You should go first, keep from surprising her."

Kyira lay asleep on her couch still, now in the middle of a nightmare. Bella was running towards a large demon, she was smiling, happy as could be. But she wouldn't turn when Kyira yelled for her to stop.
"No...Bella...don't..."
Kyira mumbled quietly while she quivered and curled into a ball.

Jason sat up and gently pulled her onto his lap. he wiped away her tear gently. "what's wrong bella?" he asked softly. he wrapped his arms around her to comfort her and held her close wondering why she was cryingg so suddenly.

Even though Adrian was slipping in and out of conciousness, she could still feel Zane's warm, full lips press softly against her cheek. Her face flushed pink; it would have been as red as ketchup but she didn't have enough blood left in her.

Marcello walked in and shook Kyira lightly, "Kyira, wake up. Bella is probably worried sick about you right now."

Bella wiped her eyes, "I was just thinking about my sister. She was killed in one of the fireball storms." Bella wondered sometimes why it wasn't her that was killed instead of her sister, but sometimes she just confused herself with questions like that.

Zane held her hand in his, feeling how cold it was. He knew Bella could heal her, but should he ask that of her? He had to... right now, the only thing that mattered to him was Adrian. He had to at least ask.

Jason sighed softly and held her close. he didn't say anything. he knew nothing he could say would fix things. he just held her close so she could cry as much as she needed to. "i'm so sorry" was all he said. he hadn't lost anyone, but that was because he had no one.

Bella held onto Jason and cried softly, only stopping when she had passed out again, though it looked like she had just fallen asleep in his arms. her cheeks were wet with tears, but she looked very serene laying there.

Jason held her close to him. when she passed out he gently wiped her tears away. he kept her close to him and closed his eyes, just keeping her close to him not wanting to let go of her. he never wanted to let go of her again.

Bella was very still for a long time, her heart beat hardly even strong enough to hear, then it picked back up again as she stirred. It was strange, almost like she had died in her sleep for a few minutes, then revived herself again. That was just what her body did to her; it was trying to kill her from the inside out. She often felt like a time bomb, just waiting for her body to quit on her.

Jason watched her stir, still holding her close to him on his lap. he was doing his best to keep her warm right now. a breeze had kicked up and was rather chilling. he rested his head on hers and didn't for a second let go of her.

Zane came up the stairs onto the roof where Bella and Jason were, "Am I intruding?" he asked after seeing Bella in Jason's arms. He felt a little like a protective big brother all of a sudden.

Kyira's eyes popped open and her instincts said slap. She reared her hand back and slapped Marcello before she knew what was happening.
"Oh man...what in the- Marcello! Oh man, I'm SO sorry!"
Kyira hugged him tightly, remorse coating her words.
Vann stood back in relief as he saw Kyira was alright.

Jason looked up at Zane. "no she just passed out a little bit ago but it looks like she's startin to wake up" he said still keeping bela close to him. just by how he was holding her it was clear he wouldn't hurt her.

Zane nodded, "Adrian has gotten hurt. Do you know if there is anything you can do to help?" Zane asked. The way his eyes looked, it was obvious that he had feeling for Adrian.

Marcello nodded, "It's OK, Kyira. Vann was more worried about you than any of us. He even said he wouldn't mind dressing up as little bo peep if you were safe at home."

Jason nodded. "bring her up here while i get my herbs ready" he said slowly maneuvering so bella was laying on the ground, he removed his sweater and covered her with it and began rummaging through his herbs for more of the sticky berries and a little pink and blue flower that was used as a disinfectant.

"Well then...Vann, where's the dress?"
Kyira smiled an evil smile as she thought of make up ideas and shoes.
"Uhm...uh...Marcello...?"

Zane nodded and went inside to get Adrian, he found her right where he left her. He picked her up easily in his muscled arms and brought her up where Jason was.
Bella was shivering a little, but it died down slightly with Jason's sweater over her.

Marcello smiled, "What is it, Kyira?"

Vann looked at Marcello.
"Where is my dress at...?"

Jason looked at her injuries. "wow she got it bad" he muttered and ground up the flower petals, sprinkling it into the blood and then chewing up the berries and using the sap to fix up her wounds and then wrapped it up in gauze. he looked up at zane. "she's all patched up but she's going to be rather weak for a while due to the blood loss" he explained as he returned to bella and held her close again to keep her from shivering.
