Something Wicked This Way Comes: Part 1

"Same here." She said quickly as they got into the house. She opened the case and pulled out a large bow and three arrows. The arrows were tipped with silver and had crosses carved into them. "I'm not really a reporter." She said with a light smile, and quickly shot an arrow at the wall, something materializing into the shape of an old woman as she pinned it to the wall with an arrow, the thing shrieking like a banshee.

Trevor jumped/fell backwards, stumbling onto his bum, frightened. "W-what the hell?!" He yelled, scared half out of his whits.

Artemis put the bow back in the case, "That should take care of your ghost problem. If anything else comes up, give me a call." she said simply, handing him a card with a number on it.

Trevor looked from the wall with the arrow stuck in it, to the card that she Artemis had handed him, and then to Artemis. "N-no, wait- what just happened?!"

"I re-killed it." She shrugged.

Trevor shook his head. "Okay, I can see that, but what the hell was 'it'?"
((Poltergeist, as Trevor joked before. They move stuff.))

"Um... a ghost?" She lifted an eyebrow, "Like you said, poltergeist."

Trevor just blinked a few times. "That was a joke. This stuff isn't real!"

"I didn't ask you to believe in it. I just came here to kill it. Just be glad you didn't have a vampire. Those things are nasty." She said offhandedly, then threw the case back into her car.

Trevor covered his face with his hands for a moment, then looked at her. "So all that stuff... all of it's real?"

"Yep." She said simply and walked around to her front seat, "See ya, Trevor." She bent down to get her car keys, then drove off.

Trevor watched, dumbfounded for a moment before he shoved his hand in his pocket, grabbed his cell, and dialed her number.

Artemis picked up, "You need me already?"

"Y-yes! Com- wait, how did you- nevermind, just come back!" He said excitedly.

Artemis sighed and backed in front of his house again, then rolled down the window, "Yes?"

Trevor hung up and just stared at Atremis for a moment. "Can we talk?"

Artemis sighed and pushed open the car door, "Wanna sit down?"

Trevor nodded. "Uh... yeah." He said, climbing in. "Okay... please, in detail, tell me what just happened."

Artemis thought, "I shot a ghost with a silver arrow that had been blessed by a priest and it re-killed it. The end."

Trevor nodded a little bit. "Okay... so that means that ghosts- and, vampires too, I guess, are real, correct?... How about we go back to that hotel I was leaving earlier... they have a Starbucks in the lobby."

Artemis raised an eyebrow, "Yeah, they are real. I've seen my fair share of were-wolves, too." she said simply, "Why do we need to go to the coffee shop? I have places I need to be."

Trevor sighed a bit. "That... whatever you did back there has me a little worked up. I need something to calm my nerves."

Artemis sighed and drove to the coffee shop, then climbed out of the car, "This it?"

Trevor nodded and got out. "Yeah, this is it."

Artemis nodded, "I'm hoping you have cash to pay for it with."
