It's The End of the World (As We Know It) - Literate

Ash watched the blonde girl and her friends closely. They seemed to have known each other for a long time. He could feel each one of their powers.
The red head... he's an angel... God, how I'd love to be an angel... The black-haired boy is an angel, too, though. But he's a dark angel. That would suit me better... I'm a killer. A monster. I've killed people. I don't deserve to be an angel.
He leaned back against a piece of rock on the roof of the mall, his view into the area where they were through the skylight unobstructed. He looked at the boy, Jason, was what they called him.
I feel his fire... his anger... his hate... his sorrow... I could end it all. So easily...
He gently stroked the bird next to him, then snapped it's neck.
And the girl... her power could come in handy. I'll bet I could even amplify it. Make her invincible. As long as this side of me only wants to help her... but her friends won't know that.
He smiled evilly, then shook it off.
But she won't tell anyone. I won't let her.

Jason had moved outside, still without a shirt. he let his power keep him warm, which caused steam to rise from his muscular body. he was watching out for any of the Armageddon creatures. he had only seen a few. He figured that, since he was the only one of the five who didn't seem to be cared for he could handle getting hurt. he wouldn't stand to see either of the girls hurt, especially not bella. As for the guys... well marcello looked like he could fight but jason had never seen an emo with any fighting skills whatsoever. despite his powers keeping him warm, his lips were still blue from cold.

((Aww... It's not that Bella doesn't care for him, it's just that she is dense and it takes a LONG time to get her to realize 'oh! This kid likes me!'.))
Zane stopped and giggled, letting Kyira catch her breath before he kissed her forehead. "Breathe, sweetheart." His smile was warm and comforting, like the familiar old friend that he was. He loved being with Kyira, she was just so light and friendly... Though she did take a little getting used to.
Bella looked him over, studying him, "Yes, but not as much as the other one. Here. I need to shower, so get yourself dressed and we'll go back."

Kyira stopped to breath for a few minutes. Once she caught her breath she turned to Zane.
"Oh you're going down boy."
Kyira tackled Zane and started punching him playfully.
Marcello slipped on the shirt and walked Bella back to the store, putting his arm around her and smiling down at her.

((Yeah I know that but jason doesn't. He just figures that since they all knew each other before they would rather have him die then any of them. so thus he stands lookout. oh and btw am I able to control some monster attacks in this rp too?))
Jason kept up his position as lookout. he sat on a boulder, much like a wolf would. his body still steamed from being much warmer then the air. His eyes darted over the landscape, making sure no beasts would harm the others. He wouldn't let them get hurt so long as he drew breath. they had people who cared for them, he did not. it only made sense that he should be the one to die if such a sacrafice needed to be made. He heated up the air more, though his lips were still blue from the cold. he was sitting out without a shirt after all. his old one was shredded, and he hadn't gone out for a new one yet. he had only brought everything that could fit bella, which still sat in a neat pile on one of the matresses. he hadn't thought of searching for his own clothes yet.

((Go for it. I really don't care who does the monsters in this one.))
Bella skipped in, surprised to see the pile of clothes on the mattress, "Jason?" She said quietly, "Did you get all these?" a look of disbelief was in her emerald eyes, now brighter than they had been before. Her face also had more color to it since she had taken the stuff that Jason had given her.
Zane squealed, "Hey! Cut that out!" He giggled and took her hands in his, wrestling her over so he was on top of her, where he held her hands at her chest and kissed her lips gently.

Kyira's face was scrunched up in a small pout.
"No fair, you're stronger than me!"
Marcello followed Bella in and saw the clothes.
"That was nice of him Bella."
Marcello's smile was genuine in nature and still unbelievably dazzling.

Jason was outside, not able to hear her speaking. It wasn't too surprizing that she wouldn't have noticed him gone. he jumped back as an arrow almost hit him. he looked over a hill, where some lizard like creatures, green and scaly, with blood red eyes, were comming. they were snakes from the waist down, but had arms. Jason growled and blads sprouted from his wristbands. He ran headlong at the beasts, avoiding the arrows from the archers in the rear, while he locked blades with the broadsword equipped ones on the frontlines. his blades coated in fire sliced through their numbers, not letting any get passed him. when he was protecting something, he never backed down.

Kyira heard a faint sound coming from outside as Marcello stuck his outside the store.
"Marcello...do you hear that?"
Marcello nodded and walked to Kyira. He help stand Zane up as he listened.
"Wonder what that is..." Kyira said in confusion.
"Yeah, me too." Marcello agreed.

Soon, it sounded like popcorn was popping from outside. a few minutes later jason walked back into the store. he had a vew small cuts here and there, but didn't look too bad. "a few lizards wanted to play" he said casually. he sat down on his bed, and since his side was to them, they could see six arros protruding from his back. three on either side and in a parallel line with his spine. "their archers are getting better" he said nonchalantly as he sipped some hot chocolate. he didn't seem to notice the six arrows in his back.

Bella's features were lined in pain as she crossed the floor to Jason. She sat next to him and gingerly touched the shaft of one of the arrows, "What were you doing?" She breathed, then pulled it out, tucking her legs underneath of her. She struggled to keep her face composed, but her eyes were screaming in agony for his pain. It was just the way she was: she couldn't bear to see anyone else hurt. Even if it was as minor as a papercut, Bella couldn't help crying for them. A tear rolled down her cheek as she took the tip in her hand, cutting into her pale flesh. A red line rose to the surface, but she didn't notice it.

Jason winced as she pulled the arrow out. "some lizards were going to try and invade, but i destroyed them before they could get here" he said calmly. he didn't seem to be in any pain except when people messed with the arrrows. he gently brushed away her tear. "what's wrong bella?" he asked softly wondering why she would cry for him. they had just met after all. it probably didn't help that he still didn't have a shirt on. that only showed how many scars his body already had. it was a wonder that his body wasn't held together by a thread.

Kyira resisted the urge to go forward to Bella, knowing there was nothing she could do.
"I hope he's okay, this is probably killing Bella." Kyira whispered to Zane.
Marcello watched Bella for a few seconds before he turned and walked to Stand beside Zane. He couldn't stand seeing Bella in pain, and he, like Kyira, knew there was nothing he could do to help Jason and ultimately make Bella feel better.

Bella attempted to smile, but it was pulled apart by the pain in her eyes. She put the arrow in her lap, then silently removed the others, gently and carefully. Her touch was light on his back, careful not to put him in anymore pain than he was already in. Zane hid his eyes behind Kyira, "Ooh! I can't stand to watch!"
Bella ran her fingers along the line of her own blood on her palm, then touched it to his lips. For some reason, this seemed to make her feel better. Before Jason could ask what she was doing, Bella spoke, "Taste it."
When he did, he could feel his body pulling itself back together, healing itself. It was part of her gift: her blood could cure anything.

Kyira hugged Zane, knowing how he felt.
"It'll be over in a second Zane, you know she's just fixing him."
Marcello felt the same as Zane, yet he had to watch Bella and just make sure she was okay. He couldn't tear his eyes from her, not for a moment.
He should be fine in a few seconds...

Jason slowly licked the blood off her finger, finding it actually didn't taste bad. he realized his body was starting to heal, his wounds closing rapidly. he looked at her confused. "what did you do?" he asked softly when the last of his injuries was gone. he didn't know that her blood could heal almost anything. He watched her, his eyes showing how greatfull he was to her. his injuries had been as bad as people saw in movies, but they were real, and somhow, she had healed him so that they were no more. He couldn't understand how she had done it.

"It's part of my gift." Bella said quietly, "I can heal anything. If my blood gets in someone's system, I can cure them." A smile graced her lips, almost rid of the pain, though her hand was still sore. It took her longer to heal than it did when she was healing others. And another limitation on her ability to heal with her blood was that it didn't work on herself. But, it was very potent on others. She could even bring back people that had died, but only if it was fairly recently.
Zane peeked out, then sighed in relief, "Thank heavens! I hate blood." he shivered and held onto Kyira.

Jason smiled softly at her. "thank you" he said gently hugging her. it was his way of saying thanks. he couldn't thank her enough. although he hadn't showed it, he had been in a great deal of pain. it was now that he realized he was falling hard. he was falling hard for bella. it was easy enough to see why. though he wasn't sure what to do about it. he hadn't felt this way before. this poor street boy in love with a rich girl. now if that didn't sound like a fairy tale what did? fairy tales weren't real though. were they?

Kyira held back her laugh.
"Zane you can be so silly sometimes..." Kyira whispered in his ear.
Marcello walked back over to where Bella and Jason were. He gently took Bella's hand in his and examined it.
"Are you two okay?" Marcello asked while he bandaged Bella's hand with a torn white cloth.

"I'm fine." Bella said swiftly, smiling brightly, "You know you don't have to do that. Just give it a second and it'll heal right back up. You've seen it work, I mean, you guys watched me die then come right back through Kyira's apartment door a few hours later. If that didn't show you what my gift was, I don't know what would." Bella suddenly stopped, blushing brightly, "I was rambling again, wasn't I?"
Zane laughed, "Don't worry about it, Bella. We're still just glad you're alive. Continue rambling all you like until Kyira decides she wants you to shut up."

Marcello smiled at Bella still.
"You know it's just how I am Bella. I like taking care of you."
Kyira covered Zane's mouth with her hand.
"Or when I decided to shut you up, puppy dog."

Jason saw marcello taking care of her and stood, stretching. "i'm going to go make sure there aren't any more lizards walking around" he said as he made his way for the door again. he still had yet to get a shirt. he hadn't even brought up getting one. he didn't see a point. if he froze to death he froze to death... He sat just outside again, right where he had been. he watched to be sure no more lizards would try and attack. His life was by far the most expendable here. the others would be devastated if bella, marcello, zane or kyira died. but him... eh they'd probably forget he even exsisted within a few days time. that's how it worked most of the time from his experience.

Bella's emerald eyes were screaming agony as she quickly jerked her head around to face Jason. "No!" she said hoarsely, her voice a few octaves higher than normal and coated in pain. Bella didn't want to risk him getting hurt. Then again, Bella would act as a human sheild for them all the time if she could, taking all the pain for them.
Zane said something, but it was muffled by Kyira's hand. Upon realizing that, Zane moved it and saluted, "Yes ma'am!" He said as if in the military and winked at Kyira.

"Zane, you're utterly hopeless."
Kyira said this with a smile, knowing it was probably unconvincing.
Marcello sat there staring after Jason, wishing him back.
"Jason, you need to stay inside. Bella would feel better with you close by."

Jason heard their complains, yet stil he sat on a boulder. He would rather himself get hurt than any of them. he could take the pain. he doubted any of them could. their bodies didn't bear the scars of past pain like his did. scar tissue didn't hurt as much. he shivered noticeably on his rock. he was still a bit weak from the last fight, so he had to conserve his fire powers, which meant he was out in the cold with no shirt between his scarred flesh and the elements. his eyes constantly scanned the horizon, even as he shivered. Yes, he was stubborn. He didn't really feel all that comfortable around the others though. he felt more like an outsider. they had known each other for a long time, and he had only met bella just earlier today. They all had memories of time together, of laughing and having fun. His memories were of the inside of a box, litterally. he had always lived in one. he never really had a home to go to. while they were inside for winter days, he was shivering to death, barely able to stay alive. it was like they were from two totally different worlds, and Jason was the Alien.
