Blood of the Innocent: Part One

"Home, if you wish to join the council." He said, opening the carrige door for her.

Adare climbed into the carriage, "I see. So, I'd have to be a member of the council for you to give me the information I need?"

"Well, I... if you were, it wouldn't be illegal."

Adare nodded, "I understand. And don't worry, I'm not angry at you. If I were, you'd know."

He chuckled a bit. "I'm sure." He mused.

Adare chuckled along with him, a little unused to riding in carriages.

Dianne snuggled close to Adrian, "I love you." she whispered softly.

Adrian smiled and held her. "I love you too."

Dominic smiled. "Does that mean that you'll be joining us?"

"It does." she said simply.

Dianne sat up, "Funny how it took me this long to realize what it was... Come to think of it, I think I always have loved you. I just didn't want to admit it."

He smiled. "Great."

Adrian smiled. "I've known I've always loved you."

Adare nodded, "I suppose so. You got what you wanted, after all."

Dianne laughed, "Silly me, then."

"How so?" He asked.

Adrian smiled. "I think it comes with being turned. Though, I'm pretty sure I was starting an obsession when I was still human."

"You've gotten me roped into all of this." she said with a wave of her hand.

Dianne laughed, "You probably were."

It took Jason awhile to realize he had actually heard adare's voice in his head. When he did he hastily responded, "Okay I will be there" he responded in her head. There was something that would most likely surprize her though, most vampires could barely make themselves a whisper in another's mind, his voice was very clear, as if he was standing only a few feet away speaking normally. At such a distance, and for a "fledgling" no less, that was a very big deal.

Dominic smiled. "Oh, what a tangled web we weave."

Adrian smirked. "I was."

Dianne laughed, "I am curious though, how are you proposing we do this whole wedding thing?" she grinned.

Adare nodded, both to Jason and Dominic, "You are an odd individual."

He smiled. "However you want it."

Dominic smirked. "You don't know the half of it."

"I'm not sure I want to." Adare muttered.

Dianne chuckled, "You see, I'm not to terribly picky. Right now, I'm simply excited that you proposed."

Jason thrust his hands into his pockets as he wandered the streets. he wondered how long it would be before slayers came after him.

He smiled. "You'll get used to it. Times have changed since your time."

Adrian smiled. "Well we have plenty of time to think it over."

Dianne laughed, "You can say that again." she looked over to him, "But don't."

Adare smirked, "Times have changed since you're time."

He smiled. "Too true. I can't tell you how many identities I've had."

Adrian smiled and laughed. "Maybe we should get out of this crypt."

Dianne laughed, "Maybe we should put on clothes?"

Adare nodded, "Adare was the only name I've ever had. I wasn't given one when I was born."

Adrian smiled. "If you insist."

"Ah... my sire renamed me, though I don't remember my original name."

"If you're done." Dianne teased.

"My sire didn't name me, either." she chuckled, "Bartholomew gave me the only name I ever had."

He smirked. "Maybe I'm not."

Damian smiled a bit. "Hmm.... Well, it's almost tradition now that vampires rename their childe."
