Blood of the Innocent: Part One

Dianne laughed, "In a tomb? Adrian, you can't be serious." she joked sarcastically.

Adare nodded, "So I saw from your memories."

He smiled. "We already did that once. And need I remind you of those countless nights when I was human while you mmkept me chained up in my father's castle's dungeon?"

"It was a lot to take in." Dominic saidm, nodding.

"It was." Adare agreed, "But I think I'll manage."

Dianne shrugged, "It was fun."

Dominic nodded a bit as the cab entered a rather dark forest.

Adrian smiled. "You could have found a better way to show you presense, though."

Jason yawned. apparantly the slayers were still curious about the tomb, as a squad of Elite class slayers emerged carrying the latest vampire-killing machinery. "oh well this night sucks" he muttered. He realized adare probably wouldn't know about this breed of slayers, so he sent her a mental image. "these are elite class slayers, very tough, and i'm probably going to be a bit cut up when you see me tomorrow" he said in her mind as he dodged a flurry of bullets, unknowingly keeping the mental link open so she could see it in her mind's eye.

Adare nodded, and closed her eyes, muttering the phrase Jason had sent her, "Slayers?" She repeated louder, "And these are..?"

"I could have." Dianne sighed, "But I didn't."

Dominic laughed. "Pathetic humans who try to 'Cleanse' the world of us."

Adrian smirked. "Don't worry, I don't regret it."

Dianne smiled, "I'm glad I didn't screw up, then." she sighed, "I'm trying to remember here, who came on to who at first?"

Adare nodded, sending a brief reply to Jason.
Watch yourself.

Jason was still transmitting the thoughts to her. "i knew i should have stayed home today" he said in her head. he was too preoccupied to hear her brief message. he lept at one slayer and slit his throat with one sharp claw. he cried out as a bullet hit him in his side. He growled, hsi anger growing to the point adare would feel it too. he felt his blood in his hands. he slashed out wildly, the blood turning into five long blades that slashed randomly through the air, the slayers cut to pieces by the blades. Jason panted a bit. "if only adare could see what i meant when i said blades of blood" he thought, still unaware that the mind link had shown her every second of it.

Adare gritted her teeth and sent him the equivalent to a mental scream.

Jason flinched. "sorry i didn't realize it was still open" he said closing his eyes and making sure he cut it. Most vampires could barely sustain a link when they were focusing. the fact that he kept one going without thinkign about it at all spoke volumes about his telpathic ability.

Adrian smiled. "Well, you were somehow admitted to one of the royal feasts, where I got you to drop your fork, and while you were down on the floor, under the table, I used my royal influnce to... well, have some fun with my under-the-table parts. But that night, you whisked me away to the dungeon, where you kept me chained and blinkfolded."

Dianne nodded, "Thank you for the refresher." she chuckled, "Now I remember. I do believe I liked it so much, I refused to let anyone else have you."

Adare exhaled, "My word..." she muttered.

Jason coughed a bit. he held his now open wound and tried to stop the bleeding before going somewhere. slayers could jsut track him if he was dripping blood.

He smiled and nodded. "You did indeed." He said. "You are my first, and my last."

Dominic looked at her. "Hm?"

"Someone wandered into my head." she said simply as the carriage pulled up to their destination.

Dianne laughed, "An honor, I assure you."

Adrian smiled. "It is, it is."

Dominic nodded with an "Ah" as he opened the door. Outside the carrige was an epic mansion. It was easily the size of a medium sized castle, though made with elegantly carved wood and granite, instead of bleak and dreary stone. The mansion was surrounded by a rather large forest.

Dianne chuckled, dressing and helping Adrian up.

Adare looked around, "I see we've made some advances in architecture, as well."

He smiled and nodded. "Beyond your wildest dreams." He noted, helping her out.

Adrian smiled and dressed as well. "Where to now?"

Dianne thought, "I'm not sure. We could go back to my place..." she smirked, "Or if you have anything else that you think we need to do..."

Adare nodded, following him inside.

The inside of the Manor was just as splendid, if not more as the outside. Numerous paintings and works of art dotted the halls and corridors, and the building itself was very maze-like as Dominic led Adare through it.

Adrian smiled. "Does your mind ever leave the gutter? Not that I don't like it, it's just something that intrests me."

"Occasionally." Dianne smiled, "Would you like me to try?"

Adare followed him, looking around at the walls as she walked, interested in the years of art she had missed.

Adrian smiled. "No, no, it's quite all right. Though... I do have a suggestion."

Dominic smiled. "We have very good funding." He said.

Dianne nodded, "Suggest away."

Adare nodded, "I would suppose so. This doesn't look cheap."

Adrian smirked. "We refrain from our little examinations and appriciations of our anatomy until after the wedding. On the Honeymoon... we go wild."

Dominic nodded. "It wasn't." He said, opening the door to a huge library.
