Blood of the Innocent: Part One

Bella nodded, oblivious to any hidden meaning behind what Adrian was saying.

Adrian smiled slightly. "You getting all this? You're really quiet."

Rat came up after a few minutes. "sorry Jason, our informer was taken in by the order a couple days ago, apparantly this thing is really hush hush" Jason sighed. "well thanks anyway" he said tossing rat a few coins. he got up and left, wondering how he would find out about this tomb now.

Bella nodded, "I haven't had anything to say, but I've caught all that." she smiled, "People don't have good intentions, they want to sleep with you, and you can use it to your advantage."

Jason sighed and kept walking through the town, his hands stuffed in his pockets. he wondered what he should do now. he wasn't used to not being able to find out what he needed to know.

"Exactly. And you know to stay out of sunlight and to feed, but can you actually find someone to feed off of on your own?"

Bella nodded, "I can, I just usually choose not to."

"You'll need to do that." Adrian said. "But there are a lot of creeps out there. I'll be keeping a watch over you, so if you get in over your head, don't worry, but I'm not going to be there for questions."

Bella nodded, "So do you want me to go now?"

Jason let out a sigh as he walked. He was really bored now, he kinda hoped for a slayer attack. he wanted to try some new fighint moves he thought up while he slept.

"You can when you like. But, here." He said, handing her a handfull of coins and a Swiss Army Knife.

Jason sighed. he kept walking, looking around, actually looking, for a slayer to fight. he was just that bored.

Bella nodded, then stood up, "Will I see you guys again?"

Adrian laughed slightly. "Of course! This isn't permenant by any means."

Bella nodded, "And what time is it?"

Jason finally found some slayers to fight. unfortunately for him, these were some of the higher class models. they still were rather stupid though. all he had to do was duck and jab, hitting weak points on their body. he had figured out a way to cause internal bleeding with a few well placed punches. it didn't take long before all had fallen by his hand. he had kept it clean this time, not a drop of blood.

"It is... ten past eight. If it'll make you feel better, Nathan might be back in the next few days." He said.

Bella smiled, remembering how much she had loved being around Nathan. "Alright. I'll come back before the sun rises." she promised, then walked outside.

almost right as she walked outside a man flew into the wall right in front of her and fell unconscious. "that's what you get for trying to rob me" someone called without looking back. it was Jason. it seemed that when there was anything bad going on, he got caught up in it some how.

Adrian nodded. "All right. Be careful, Shrimp." Adrian said. When Bella had left, he turned to Dianne. "I'll start tailing her in an hour. Want to come with me?"

Dianne shrugged, "You've followed me enough places, why not?"

Bella looked up at Jason, a bit of surprise on her face at seeing him, but she remembered what Adrian had said and walked the other direction.

Adrian laughed a little. "You've got me there."

Jason turned the corner. "oh cr*p" he said. twenty slayers were talking in a circle, and well, they didn't like seeing jason. he turned tail and took off. he was a fighter, but he wasn't stupid. He kept running, almost knocking over bella as he ran. the slayers were chasing, and making a good deal of racket.

Bella inhaled quickly, knowing she was probably going to regret this later, but was already moving so fast no one could see her anyways. The next time Jason turned around, all the slayers were gone.

Jason stopped running and looked around dumbfounded. "okay what just hapened to the mob that was just chasing me?" he asked out loud. he wondered if he was going crazy. how could that many dissappear that fast?
