Blood of the Innocent: Part One

Adrian laughed a bit. "I could tell by what you were saying. But what's on your mind now?"

Dianne smiled lightly, "Going again."

Adrian laughed and laid back down on the bed with a plop. "Again?"

Jason smiled at her. "well come on then" he said holding out his hand to her. "lucky for us they are open all night" He said.

Bella smiled, taking his hand, "Joyous day." she chuckled.

Dianne smiled playfully, rolling onto her back, "Only if you want to, Adrian."

"Oh you know I want too, but that can't be the only reason you came to visit me here in London." He said, rolling over to her.

Jason smiled and led her through the dark streets until they came to the National Gallery. he walked in with her, heading for thelandscape art. "this is where you can find pictures of the sun" he said leading her down a hallway that had almost nothing but sunrises and sunsets.

Bella closed her eyes and smiled, "It's funny how something that you were around every single day can vanish from your mind so quickly." She commented, "I can't remember what the sun felt like."

Dianne chuckled, "Knowing me, yes that could have been it, but I also was curious about the order and what they are up to." she paused for a second, "And I'm trying to find a way to let Bella out on her own."

"And I take it that means not with Nathan, correct?" Adrian asked.

Jason smiled. "well I can help with that too, but not here" he offered smiling at her. "i started to miss it to, so i figured out ways to replicate it" he said.

Bella tilted her head curiously, "Really?"

Dianne nodded, "I don't want to leave her with anyone. She's too dependent on everyone else. I swear, I don't think she knows how to live on her own."

Jason smiled and nodded. "come on i'll show you" he said taking her hand again. he led her out and down a few ally ways, and then he came to a brick wall, he looked around once then pushed it aside and brought her in, closing it behind him. he flipped a switch and on came a light. inside was jason's coffin in one corner, which was too big even for him, a small television, a computer, and a desk. One whole wall was painted to replicate the look of a sun. "you woulnd't believe how long that took" he said chuckling. he walked to a lamp. "this is a heat lamp, it can give the same feel as the sun" he said turning it on and standing under the warmth. he motioned for her to come next to him.

"Ah... well, I could teach her the rules of the world if you want. Like, leave her on her own, but watching over her to make sure nothing happens." He offered.

Bella walked under the light with him, pausing and smiling when she was under the light.

Dianne smiled, "I knew I could count on you."

"I'll take that as a yes?" He asked.

Jason smiled at her. "does this help jog your memory" he asked letting her get the full effect of the heat lamp. "i know my home isn't the most decorated, but here slayers can't find me" he said. "you're welcome to come here anytime you want, just make sure no one follows you" he said. "you couldd even stay here today if you want" he offered.

Bella shook her head, "Thank you for the offer, but I need to get back to Dianne tonight."

Dianne smiled, "Yes." she looked out the window, "Hm... sun's going to rise soon. I suppose that means we need to put clothes on?"

Adrian shrugged. "Only if you want to."

Jason looked at his watch. "where is she at right now?" he asked. he wanted to be sure she could get back before sunrise, if not he would have to insist on her staying here.

"The hotel down the road." Bella shrugged, "I can get there in under a minute if I run fast."

Dianne smiled, "As much as I'd like it not to be, Bella should be back soon and I don't think the two of us naked is what she wants to come back to."

"Well, we've got about five minuites 'til the sun's up. Think we can get in a quickie?"

"well that's good to know, still, who knows how many slayers are out, if they see you.. well you won't be waking up tomorrow night" he said watching her. "it would be much safer if you stayed here for this day" he said.

Bella smiled, "I appreciate the concern, but I should stay with Dianne." she chuckled, "Besides, they can't catch what they can't see."

Adrian smirked a bit and sat up. "You think she'll notice when she gets back?" Adrian asked, looking over the room which wasn't quite as tidy as they had left it.

Jason chuckled. "that's what my old friend said once, he was as fast as you are, one person cuahgt a glimpse, and he was killed that morning" he said. "just please, stay here so i don't have to worry about history repeating itself" he said, pleading with his eyes. he didn't want her to get hurt.
