Blood of the Innocent: Part One

Adrian grimmaced. "Ah... you heard about that. It seems something has caught the intrest of the higher-ups lately. Don't ask me ehat though, I'm not that far into the loop."

Dianne nodded, "Of course I heard about it. I hear about everything." She smiled, "But I'm not sure what the thing that they are so interested in is. I'm not that far into the loop. But, that was one of the things that enforced my decision to come here. Curiosity and all that." she laughed.

Adrian laughed a little bit. "Yes, I've found that you're very curious. But all that I've heard is that they've found some kind of tomb."

"It wouldn't be your father's, would it?" Dianne asked.

"No, no, he's crumbling away to dust in Poienari Castle. It's somethig else." Adrian said.

Dianne tapped her chin in thought, "I can't think of anything else that would grab their attention this hard. Sounds like a nice mystery to keep me awake during the day." she laughed.
Bella thought, "You don't think it could be an old hunter's tomb?" she wondered aloud.

Adrian shrugged. "If it was, he'd have to be pretty famous." Adrian said.

Dianne shrugged it off, "Anyhow, what have you been up to these past four years?" she asked casually, as if it had been more like days than years.

"I've just pretty much been wandering around, going where the rumors take me." Adrian said, speaking of his long-lost sister. She had gone missing shirtly before he had been turned.

Dianne nodded, "So I'm guessing that was what brought you to our dear London?"

He smiled. "No, I heard you two were coming."

Dianne smiled, "Don't I feel flattered?" she laughed, hugging him again, whispering in his ear too softly for Bella to hear, "I haven't slept with anyone since the last time I saw you. It's killing me."

"I think that's a record for you. I'm sure we could work something out, though." Adrian whispered back, putting an arm around her.

Bella smiled, "How's Nathan been?" she asked.

Jason was still walking through a park. He heard a rustling in the bushes nearby. "bout time you slayers decided to liven up my dull nightlife" he said. two or three came from the bushes. "You will never find the tomb vampire" one hissed. Jason raised an eyebrow. when it came to the "loop" he was as far out as pluto was from the sun. the slayer who had spoken abruptly shut his mouth, realizing he had said something he shouldn't. the slayers drew handguns and tried to get jason but he was upon them before they could get a shot off. three had come, three had died. they at least made a decent meal.

"Last I heard he was supposed to be meeting with some other therians in China." Adrian said.

Bella nodded, "Adrian?" she smiled childishly, "Why does Dianne like London so much? She won't tell me."

Adrian smirked, thinking of how he should answer that. "She likes the formality of everything here. It's tidy and orginized."

Bella nodded, "Why didn't you just say so, Dianne?"
Dianne laughed, "I couldn't think of the words."
She loved how easy it was to convince Bella of something.

Adrian just laughed a little bit. "So, did you guys have any plans for when you got here?"

Dianne shrugged, "Investigate this little story, and perhaps see if the er... wine was as good as it was rumored to be."

Adrian laughed. "Blood, Dianne, blood. I got two soundproof rooms, just for that reason. And, well, another...." Adrian trailed off.

"Another what?" Bella asked innocently.

Adrian blinked once. "Oh, uh, I was planning to get a few friends together to have a 'Welcome to the Isles' party." He lied.

It wasn't very much longer, and Jason was already being confronted by more slayers. "what is this? pick on the harmlesss vampire night?" jason asked. this time the slayers had the guns already drawn, and jason was against hte wall.
