Midieval Times[R.I.P.]

Oh how glorious were the days of King Arthur and Merlin. These are those times, of knights in shining armor, damsels in distress, vile dragons, wizards and warlocks, enchantresses, elves, cyclopi and all other various creatures and such. Pick your Race, forge your alliances, and fight to shape the world. Will you seek to set peace, or will you try to bend the world to your will?

Just a note, make your character's powers relavent to their history. Don't have someone who was raised from birth to be a swordsman outmatch a master wizard is what I mean. If you Wish to be a member of the Round Table, post so in your intro. Also, don't use today's slang. Old english is most appreciated. Along with your intro post what your character is (Swordmage, Earth Wizard, Air Wizard, Curse Wizard, Swordsman, Enchanter, etc.)

Setting: A Forest outside of Camelot. Many battles have taken place here, and many come here to train. It is a meeting ground for all who carry a sword or wield a staff.

Rules: ONE LINERS ARE FORBIDDEN!!!!! with old english involved it should be easy enough to get more then one. NO KILLING UNLESS THE OWNER SAYS YOU MAY DO SO. Yeah self explanitory. NO GODMODDING!!! People WILL get hurt. So no stupid all powerfull dark lords who shrug off getting an arrow in their butt.

Bio: Jason was raised in the lavish royalty of the elven nation. From a Young age he showed excellent skill with a bow, and always has one with a quiver of arrows with him. He felt a deep connection to the suffering of others, and thus serched out Merlin when he was old enough to find a way to end the world's suffering. Merlin had informed Jason that the once and future king would soon rise to power. From that Point, Jason studied under Merlin, learning various magics that would help him in combat. Merlin, not much good with a sword, instructed him to seek out Lancelot the Brave to obtain weapons training. This was, of course, after the First Days of King Arthur. He spent two years in training with Lancelot, learning all the tricks to swordfighting and jousting. He now sits on Merlin's right hand at the Round Table. He keeps two longswords strapped to his back at all times, as well as his bow. With Merlin's sketchy memory (he is rather old you know), and his habit of dissappearing to the past and future, Jason is occasionally called on for his magical skills to aid the round table.

Bio: Evaline is the kind and caring cousin of Elanor Ancalime. While her cousin was out, their village was destroyed, leaving Evaline blind and defenseless. Her cousin has tried to get rid of her several times, but Evaline somehow always manages to get back to her cousin.

Bio: Hector grew up in a very poverty stricken village, and his life royally sucked. He was born to a prostitute mother who later became a witch and was burned at the stake. That was when he got his first taste of the occult. After that, he was thrust into the wild by the villagers at the age of nine to be left for dead. He was found by a group of slavers and sold into the custody of a certain Count Isaac whose daughter was as interested in things of the dark as Hector's own mother. She futhered Hector's knowledge of things-that-go-bump-in-the-night and also became his mentor in the arcane arts. Hector, by the age of sixteen, was inducted as a warlock into Isaac's daughter's "coven." From then on, he took particular intrest in the art of summoning. To quench his thirst, he found another mentor and was thrown headfirst into the wonders of Devil Forgery.....

Jason looked down the shaft of an arrow as he aimed at a target a hundred feet away. He released the arrow, letting it soar through the air until it burried itself dead center of the bull's eye. He smirked to himself. "if only if only I could find a challenge in the means of archery" he said to himself as he retrieved his arrow. He wondered if anyone else was in these woods.

Evaline stumbled through the forest, catching onto her cousin's shoulder, "Cousin, I pray thee, please let us stop for the night."
"No." Elanor said firmly, "I have a destination that must be reached tonight. If you cannot keep up, then thou can stay here for the night."

Jason turned towards the sound of two voices. He saw two figures stumbling about. He lept up onto his white stallion and rode towards them. "hark! who goes there?" he called. he didn't recognize them, so he had to ask before they got too close to Camelot. he kept his bow in hand and an arrow cocked in. He aimed at them just in case they be unfriendly. "be thy enemy or friend, speak now" he said as he drew closer to them.

Evaline looked straight ahead of her, in the general direction of the voice, but not exactly at whoever it belonged to. Her eyes were covered by a strip of violet cloth, "My cousin and I are traveling north to seek work. I am a healing mage allied with King Arthur and my cousin in a hired assassin. Pray tell who you may be?"

Jason watched the two of them. "I go by the name Jason Amaroq. I am a member of the round table, seated at merlin's right. I studied with merlin and lancelot. If you truely are allied with King Arthur, then you are welcome here. is thy cousin on some errand of her trade at the moment?" he asked reffering to her job as an assassin. he dismounted his horse, putting his bow and arrow away as he spoke to them.

"That remains unknown to me. She rarely discusses her occupation with one such as I." Evaline winced, knowing that Elanor never trusted her and was disgusted to have a blind traveling companion.
Elanor raised her chin defiantly, "I am Elanor Ancalime and my cousin is Evaline of the same last name. And no. I am not occupied with me career as of now."

Jason looked up at the darkening sky. "the day grows old, you are more then welcome to take up lodgings at my abode for the night. When the morrow comes you may see King arthur if thou wishes it. just don't flaunt yourselves before him. i doubt that thou would behave in such a manner, but for the sake of thy own skin Guinevere is a jealous girl when it comes to her husband after all." he pointed out. "does thou wish to accept mine offer?" he asked.

Evaline bowed her head, "I wish to take thee up on thine proposal. I am tired and weary of days of travel. It is difficult for a blind girl to trek over land and sea after her cousin, who is far more able-bodied than she."

Jason nodded his head. "of this I understand. come, let us dine at my abode and thy can explain the reasons behind comming to this particular kingdom for business" he said. he let his horse gallop home. "are thy legs capable to make the journey? if not i will gladly carry you" he offered. his horse, as fast as it was, only allowed jason on his back, period. No other person was allowed on that back when that horse had a hoove in it.

Elanor sneered at Jason, not trusting any man who had knowledge of her cousin's handicap, "No thank you, sir knight. My cousin can make due on her own."
Evaline frowned, knowing that her legs were quivering with the effort to stand up now, but knowing that if she said anything, Elanor would have no problems slapping her across her cheek.

Jason rolled his eyes. "please do not call me so formally. Jason would suit me just fine" he said. he looked at Evaline. "she may be able to make due, but my abode is still far off. It would make the journey much faster if i carried her" he said noting how bad her legs were quivering. the darkening light accented his handsome features. it was in such a light that many a woman had thrown herself at him.

Elanor frowned, not impressed in the least. Evaline wouldn't have been able to notice if he was the hunchback of Notre Dame, but she was tired and couldn't walk much further, "I apologize for my cousin's rude behavior. I would be more than obliged to have you take me the rest of the way to your home. I'm not sure how much farther I can go on my own."

Jason nodded. "tis quite alright. In all good honesty I prefer a woman who is more than her sex to those who slave for unworthy males" he said truthfully as he gently picked evaline up on his back. he looked at elanor. "i hope your fast enough to keep up" he said smiling polietly at her.

"I wouldn't worry about me keeping up with you, sir knight." Elanor glared, "I would worry about you keeping up with me."
Evaline sighed, "Forgive her. She is more male than female."

Jason smirked. "call me jason please. sir knight is for humans, not elves" he said smirking as he shot off running. he was a very fast elf, not to mention lancelot was one of the first to experiment with weight training, and used it on jason when he was learning, so he was faster then most elves.

Elanor was very fast as well, and was able to keep up with him, the two going neck-in-neck for the entire distance. It was impossible to tell who reached Jason's home first.

Jason smirked at her when they arrived at his cottage. "thou are certainly a fleet footed one are you not?" he said smiling at her. he opened the door and led her inside, setting evaline down on a bed gently. he closed the door once elanor was inside. "please make thy selves comfortable while i prepare a meal worthy of such lovely ladies" he said as he moved into a kitchen set up of his. he was glad he could use magic, or this would be much harder.

Elanor crossed her arms over her chest, a bit sore that he could keep up with her. She had never been defeated and wasn't one to take kindly to it. Evaline laughed, "I can feel your bad humor in the air, cousin. Make an effort to be kind to Sir Jason for allowing us to stay here."

Jason removed his armor, which fell with a very heavy thud, making one wonder just how heavy his armor was. "miss elanor we should race again when i am unburdened by armor" he said smiling as he used some basic magic to get the cookingware to cook the meal while he supervised. at one point he was arguing with the sugar bowel as to whether or not the meat shoul be sweet. "for the last time SALT goes on steak not sugar" he said shooing th bowel away. when cookwares had minds of their own it got a bit annoying. especialy the spices.

"If you wish it." Elanor said simply, her words full of a venom that one could not place.
Evaline frowned, "Cousin, be in good humor. Jason is showing us a great kindness, the least that thee can do is behave appropriately."
