The small towns of America are indeed that; small, boring, podunk, you name it. Nothing ever happens, no one ever goes there. They're... overlooked. And these small towns are the perfect place to hide. Who would need to hide you ask? Well, that's simple. Those who are outcast. Those who are hunted. Those of the occult.

Bethlehem, West Virginia. Small town, middle of nowhere. What better place for the Petre family to take up residence? Why here? Because they wouldn't be suspected of anything. You see, the Petre family is a small colony of vampires that have taken interest in forming a "Family" to blend in with society more easily. And here in Bethlehem, they have the perfect chance to do so.

(Just vampires and humans for now, guys)

Vampire- A mostly nocturnal parasitic creature of the occult. Vampires are reanimated corpses of humans, which are immune to the effects of rotting or aging. All vampires are unmistakingly beautiful creatures. Lacking circulation, their skin is very pale. Exposure to sunlight causes the vampire discomfort, the feeling being akin to having a sunburn whenever rays of the sun strike exposed skin. Because of this, universelly vampires wear clothes that cover most of their skin. Vampires have the strength of about two average men together, and have the speed of three. Vampires possess superhuman senses, and above-average reflexes. They are notoriously hard to kill. A stake through the heart, immolation, and severe bodily trauma are the three ways. When a vampire dies, it burns away to ashes.

Bio: Estelle has what most refer to as a 'devil-may-care- attitude. Not too much gets to her, but she also doesn't have anyone she's close enough with for her to give too much thought to it anyway. She moved into Bethlehem recently, and hates it with a passion. She often has stolen her family car and disappeared for days, but no one knows where she goes off to.

The moving van drove through the small town's suberbs, kept going, and eventually pulled into an old backroad that lead to some other, higher-class houses.

A few days later, in the morning, Ian stepped onto the bus, walked to an empty seat, and sat down on the aisle, leaving the window seat open. He was muttering something about not being let to drive yet.

A few stops later, Estelle climbed onto the bus, wearing a v-neck shirt with the word "rock" across the font, a leather jacket, dark skinny jeans and converse sneakers. She flipped someone off through the window, then jumped over a seat, landing next to Damian, "Oh... You're new..." she said quickly, then plugged her ears into her ipod.

"New here, yes, to buses, yes, at life in general, no." He mumbled, grimmacing a bit.

"I meant this town, but thanks for the unneeded info." Estelle said sarcastically, "If you were here very long, you'd know that this was my spot." she said pointing to where she was sitting, "If you were sitting by the window, I would have ended up sitting on you and I don't think I would have gotten off."

Estelle looked over at his iPod to see what he was listening to, "So, what's your name?" she asked.

"Huh." He mumbled as the bus pulled up to the school. He stood and made his way off of the bus.

Estelle stood, filing out and into the school, making a quick stop at her locker before relaxing in the library until the bell rang.

When the bell rang, Ian was in class, sitting in one of the desks at the back.

Estelle slipped in a few seconds late, but the teacher either didn't notice or didn't care, leaving Estelle in the back corner closest to the door.

Ian looked over again, recognizing his bus buddy before looking away after eye contact was made.

Ian sat still with an uninterested look on his face through the first three blocks, which he happened to have with her, until lunch, where Ian sat at a table before most others arrived, alone.
