Jason shrugged. "if i were to die tomorrow, I could die happy, knowing that i gave my life protecting those who could not themselves" he said with a peaceful smile. the prospect of death didn't seem to faze him at all.

Cai landed next to Rebecca. "Man, you really hate his guts, don't you?"

"I don't like his attitude." She said simply, "He's got this whole holier-than-thou pompous a** thing going on that really p*sses me off."

Jason looked at M. "is there any place I could keep angel during the day while i'm stone?" He asked looking at the small kitten in his arms.

Cai just laughed a little bit snd ruffled Rebecca's hair.

Rebecca pushed his hand off her hair, trying to keep looking mad, but smiling a bit.
M nodded, "We can work something out."

Jason nodded. "i hope so. i just don't want something bad to happen to her when i can't help her" he said looking at the small kitten. he didn't try to come off as rebecca described, he just tried to do what he thought was right.

M looked up, "Would you be opposed to a cage of sorts? It would prevent her from leaving."

"what size is the cage?" Jason asked after hesitating a bit. if angel didn't like it he wouldn't force her to stay there.

"I could clear out the inside of the tree so she would have plenty of room." M offered.

"If angel likes it that sounds fine to me" he said smiling. the kitten meowed in approval of htat idea.

M squatted by the tree, his fingernails growing longer, as if into knifes as he began hollowing out the tree with an opening just big enough to get the cat into.

Jason and angel both watched curiously. angel was very eager to see her new home.

M blew wood shavings off of his hand effortlessly, hand gestured toward the tree. He had hollowed it out in a way that there was plenty of room for her to move around, but there was a sort of platform for her to nap on a little higher. "Do you approve?" he asked the kitten.

Angel meowed in an umistakable yes and lept into the tree and began exploring. Jason smiled. "thank you for that. i didn't know what i was going to do with her" He said.

"I'm more kind-hearted than one would assume upon first glance, Jason." M smiled lightly, "I care for my own."

jason smiled a bit too. "well that's a good thing' He said. "how much time left until the sun rises?" He asked lookin towards the east.

"Not long." M answered, "You can cover the entrance to the tree if you like. And the three of us have places we always stay while the sun is up, if you care to make one, you may."

Jason nodded. he walked a short distance out of the graveyard and found a medium sized boulder. he carried it in and set it down. it was hardly big enough for him to stand on, but it was all he needed.

"Nice, Caveman." Rebecca said quickly, standing on her place and freezing into her position with her arms crossed over her chest.
