Absconditus Adamo

Jason blinked and let out his breath. "what the hell just happened?" he wondered out loud. his ears were bleeding, and he was having a bit of trouble hearing right now.

Isaiah came up to Jason, setting his hand on his shoulder, "Are you OK?" he asked, sort of shouting the words in case Jason couldn't hear him, "The girl is with the medic. Only one survived." He explained, "She was saying that she was having some stomach pains, but she seems to be fine now."

Jason nodded. "yeah i'm alright. so we only have one medic left?" He asked wanting to be sure he was right. jason knew basic fixes, but nothing else.

Isaiah nodded, "And he's in pretty rough shape, too. If Bella is alright, then she could work as a medic. She was in her last week of medical school last I spoke to her."

"yeah but that's still a longshot" he said trailing off. "i just wish i knew who it was that made the dragon go away" he said looking to where it had fallen dead.

"The black guy?" Isaiah asked, "He was gone by the time I got here."

Jason nodded. "yeah he jsut dissappeared into thin air" he said wondering how he had done that. "seems like logic holds no place anymore" he said.

"Well, the world just burst into flames, so I guess so." Isaiah grunted, turning back toward where he had come from, "Come on, we need to get back to everyone else."

Jason nodded and picked up his rocket launcher and followed isaiah back. considering he just took out a dragon, you'd think he'd be more.. well not quiet.

Isaiah led him back to the rest of the surviving men, and Sonya. With the group all together, it showed that Sonya was the only female left.

Jason noticed she was the only girl left. he knew that somewhere that would cause problems amongst the men. He walked over to her. "are you alright?" He askd kindly.

Sonya nodded, "I'm OK. Baby's kicking pretty hard, but other than that, all's well." She attempted a smile, lifting the right corner of her lips in a crooked grin.

Jason smiled softly at her and sat down next to her. "do you know how far along you are yet?" he asked looking at her.

"Five months." She said, smiling.

Jason smiled at her. "not too long then" he said looking at her. He seemed to be one of the nicer guys around here. he wasnt one to hurt anyone, well except for dragons

"No, not to long at all." She chuckled lightly, as if it were funny that he said that, "I think that it's a girl, but Marcello was convinced it's going to be a boy."

"have you thought about names?" he asked looking at her. it was nice to have a normal conversation with someone for once.

"Aiden." She said surely, "That was the last thing he said to me. 'Name the baby Aiden'."

Jason smiled. "it's a good name" he said watching her. he couldn't imagine how hard this was for her.

"He liked things that were out of the ordinary." She laughed, "But not just random things. They had to have meaning." she chuckled, looking down at her stomach, "You know, he loved to draw hearts. He said it was because when we were in high school, I used to draw them on my notebook when we were talking. Without even thinking about it!" She laughed, "He loved the way I drew them, so he taught himself to draw them the exact same way." She held out her hand, showing Jason a small, eloquently drawn heart, "And he would draw it on my hand every day."

Jason smiled at her. "that sounds great" he said listening to everything. "personally, i can't draw anything, well except roses for some odd reason" he said.

Isaiah came over, "Jason? Our medic would like to see you. Just to look you over."

Jason rolled his eyes. "how many times to i have to say i'm perfectly fine?" he asked annoyed. "i'll be back soon." he said to sonya as he walked towards the medic.

Isaiah followed him over to the medic, who seemed altogether in a panic as he fussed over Jason, asking if his ears were ringing, or if he felt at all lightheaded.

"I'm absolutely fine. no ringing ears i'm not lightheaded. can i go?" he asked a little annoyed.
