Vampire Diary Ch 7: This is Home

Jason was hardly picking at his food. he had never been one to eat much, since he was accustomed to going with almost nothing for extended periods of time. For him, eating a "normal" meal left him feeling bloated and overfed. He had a lot to think about, and he kept hearing something in the distance he just couldn't put his finger on.

Bella blushed, as she usually did. Elle sat next to Jason, eating her food, "You should eat more."

Jason shook his head. "if i do that i'll just get bloated" he siad simply as he put down his fork, only a few bites missing from his meal.

jason shook his head. "i tried that before, wound up sick as a dog, pardon the pun" he explained.

Jason rolled his eyes. "I doubt it will work" he said though he forced down another bite.

"I believe it will." she said firmly, and suddenly he felt very hungry.

Jasno narrowed his eyes at her. "don't mind trick me, if i eat too much i'll get sick" he said.

She smiled, "I don't do mind tricks. I told you, I can bend reality. It takes a lot of effort, but it's for your own good. If what I did was mind tricks, you'd be short a group member."

"so you pretty mcuh bent my stomach lining out of place" he said rolling his eyes as he took another reluctant bite.

Elle said nothing, standing up and walking outside.

Jason ate a bit more food, leaving some room open before going outside with her. "whatdidya leave for?" he asked curiously.

Jason's hair started to stand on end as he sniffed the air for her scent.

Nothing. It was almost as if she didn't want to be found.

Jason kneeled down to the ground, looking for even the slightest trace of footprints as he wandered after them.

Nothing was there at all. She would probably come back when she was ready to.

Jason sighed. He hopped up into a tree to stand watch. he had a bad feeling something was about to happen.

Jan looked over by the door, "What was that?" she asked.

Sure enough, there was the sound of large footsteps coming toward the house.
