"Eh, I just wish I'd been shipped off to boarding school some days. Maybe then I'd not have met Zane or Bella...then who knows."

"You wouldn't have met me, either. If you went to a boarding school, you would have burned it down and gone to juvie."

"Yes but what's the bright side to not having met you? Not having met Riot. See,everything has a bright side." Kyira said with a laugh.

"Just be glad he was annoying enough I stuck closer to you when everyone else left me with you two. Otherwise I really would have just ran away years ago."

Kalvin laughed, "Great. Don't I feel loved."

"I'm pretty sure Nathan loves you. Except I think he's gay..."

Kalvin shuddered, "I hope not. I'm 100% straight."

"Well that's good at least, the girl you may marry one day won't have to worry about a gay affair."

((I feel sad because I can't say any of my friends are 100% straight. D: ))

Kalvin nodded, "Most definitely. I'm sorry, but no man can offer me what I want."

"Like I said, the one thing I can never have." Kalvin said, facing forward.

"Ever heard of conflicted feelings?" Kyira asked as she watched the sky with her eyes squinted.

"So, you like Zane?" He guessed, "Or is this about me?"

"Both...fixed feelings, confusion...just a bunch of crap..." Kyira sighed.

"Look..." Kalvin sighed, "I know I'm not the greatest guy, and trust me, I know you could do way better than me. Like Zane." he sighed, "But, I still want to be here for you. As a friend, even if I can't be anything more. You can trust me with anything."

((Funny thing is she's as confused as I am about who to make her all googly eyed for. >.<))
