Vampire Diary Ch 5: Prince of Darkness

Jason kneeled down with her. "what's wrong?" he asked checking her over to find where the blood was comming from.

There were several large, long needle-like things shooting through her body. They looked as though they were made of bone. Janzelle couldn't speak, only lay on the ground and struggle to breathe.

"What's happening to her?" Adrian asked.
((Kk, thanks anyway.))

"cr*p" Jason murmured as he quickly pulled out all the quills. "seems like a toxin that stalls the breathing" he said pulling various herbs from his pocket. he stuffed them in his mouth and chewed them into a liquid before gently lifting janzelle's head and kissing her lightly, making her swallow the drink. it would help her to breath again and put a stop to the likely poison.

Janzelle held onto his arm, closing her eyes.

Jason held Janzelle lightly in his arms, listening as her breathing returned to normal. "she'll be fine... she's just exhausted, plus those herbs make people drowsy " he said chuckling a bit as he yawned.

Janzelle's head fell to the side, her body falling limp.

Jason yawned again and fell sideways, his arms still around janzelle though he was fast asleep. There was a reason jason caled those herbs the "knockout healer"

Bella held on to Adrian, "Are they OK?" she said worriedly.

As if answering her question jason began to snore rather loudly.

Bella exhaled, resting her head on Adrian's back as Zane landed near them, "Is everyone alright?" he asked, seeing Janzelle and Jason asleep and Adrian and Bella both standing. He made a face at all the blood around them.

"I... don't know." Adrian said, sitting on a tree and moving Bella back into his lap.

Zane sighed, checking Janzelle and Jason's pulse, "Looks like they are fine. Jan's is a little weak."

"Will she be okay?" He asked.

"I think so. Do you know what happened?"

"I'm guessing some kind of demon attacked her."

Zane nodded, "And where is it now?"

He pointed to the bloody pile.

Zane made a face, "Oh."

"That's what I said."

Jason yawned and woke up not long later. he hadn't swallowed any of the juice so he just took a catnap. "well i'd like to see either of you keep a demon inside of you from doing worse when it's in control" he said rubbing his eyes. He had talked to zane once, about there being more inside jason than meets the eye.

"And vampirism's just a walk in the park." He said, rolling his eyes.

Zane frowned, "I'd rather not put up with an argument right now."
Bella nodded, "Zane has a point."

"suits me just fine. i'm too sleepy to fight" he said yawning again. "zane i'm too sleepy to think perfectly clearly, but don't bats live in large swarms?" he asked.
