Vampire Diary Ch 5: Prince of Darkness

Zane leaned against the tree as Bella touched the back of his leg. He walked around to bring her back, sitting her in front of the fire. He wrapped his arms around her, trying to keep her warm.

Jason put his jacket over bella like a blanket, smiling softly at her. "get some rest, i'll keep watch" he said. "if zane isn't warm enough for you, you are welcome to come sit with me" he offered. "wolf demons have extreamly warm bodies" he said sitting a little bit off. he shivered a small bit. he wondered if he should sing a bit, but he wasn't exactly the most confident person when it came to his voice.

Zane chuckled, "Here. We'll switch jobs. You're warmer than I am anyways."
He lifted Bella into Jason's lap, laughing a bit as she pressed herself close to him, taking in the heat.

Jason smiled and gently put his arms around her, the jacket acting as a blanket for them. "zane if you hear anything just wake me up" he said before smiling softly down at bella. when bella wasn't looking he mouthed a 'thank you' to zane. he looked down at her, "do you want me to sing something to help you sleep?" he asked. Zane would know just how rare such a request was, as jason NEVER sang in front of others.

Zane nodded, smiling a bit, before climbing a tree.
Bella nodded, still holding onto him.

Jason cleared his heart a bit, his heartbeat noticeably quickening. it was strange, he stared down a snake and took fangs through his arms without flinching yet he was scared to sing in front of a girl. he took a breath and started to sing "you'll be in my heart" from tarzan, starting with the first phrase and chorus:

The next time he looked down at Bella, she was fast asleep, too tired to stay awake.

Jason smiled softly down at her and kept singing anyway. He kept holding her close to himself to keep her warm. He assumed that meant he was a good singer, since she did fall asleep to it. He closed his eyes as he sang, soon falling silent as he fell asleep with her.

Jonathan walked into focus. "What's going on here" he said rather loudly

Zane climbed down from the tree, holding a finger over his lips, "They are sleeping."

"Oh okay. The position they are in is rather perverted looking I must say" Jonathan said with a giggle

Zane rolled his eyes, "She's just sleeping. And he's warm."

"I know, my mind's just in the gutter right now" Jonathan said while moving close to Zane

Zane sat down at the base of a tree, picking up his acoustic and playing a few chords, "So, where have you been?"

Janzelle had her head rested on Adrian's lap, "Where do you think they are at?"

"Hunting" Jonathan said while wiping a small amount of blood of the side of his mouth.

"I don't know... I hope they're okay..." He said.

Janzelle nodded, "I'm worried..."

Zane nodded, "Catch anything good."

Jason was pretty much dead asleep right now. He had been running on total empty. his arms were still around bella and the jacket still covered them.

"Me too...." He said softly.

By the time morning came, then forest had warmed up, as well as no word back to the barn on the locations of Jason, Bella, Zane, or Emo's character.

Jonathan smiled while looking at Zane "Not really, just a deer. Nothing special"

Zane nodded, continuing to play his acoustic, "Do you know anything that rhymes with playground?"

"Not of the top of my head, why?" Jonathan said with a curious look on his face

"No reason..." Zane mused.

"found, around, pound, sound" Jason murmured slowly waking up. He blinked a bit and smiled a bit as he looked down at bella still sleeping.
