Are We Angels? Part 1

((Not quite a grassfire....))

Estelle looked out at the fire, "I can handle it, Jason. That guy we caught the other day could have more crones."
As she spoke, smoke started rising from another part of town. They seemed to be making a circle around the city.

Jason looked at them. "you two should come with me, i'm not sure i can handle this many alone" he said.

"I'll take the one on the far end. I can put it out. Rebecca can stay with me so you don't have to worry about her. I promise." She smiled, almost begging for him to trust her this once.

Jason nodded. "very well, just shout if you need anything" Jason said as he spread his wings and flew up a bit, waiting for the other two to start off.

Estelle nodded, smiling. She took off, holding onto Rebecca so she would stay close.

Jason sighed and kept glancing in their direction as he flew towards the other fire.

After a while, the girls were out of sight.

Jason sighed and helped everyone at the sight of his fire, saving a couple of kids and a dog before putting out the fire.

A new fire was starting a block down, and a man was seen running from it with an empty bottle of gasoline.

Jason ppicked up the man and put out the small fire. he flew high up in the air. "who are you and why are you doing this?" Jason asked flying up very high.

"Wha- put me down!!!"

Cai was standing in a burning building, pulling out an old woman near where Reb and Estelle were.

"why did you start the fires?" Jason asked watching the man.

"It's not just me, there are a lot of us!"

Rebecca saw Cai and ran towards him, "Cai!"
Estelle ran after her, "Rebecca, come back here!"
Rebecca didn't listen, instead running over to Cai.

"and just who is in charge? and wehre is the hideout? might want to hurry my arm is getting tired' He said glaring at the man.

Cai set the woman down and turned to Rebecca, smiling. "Rebecca!" He shouted, hugging her tightly. He had a large gash across his chest. "I'm so sorry!"

"Oh my god..." Rebecca said as she saw the gash, "What happened to you?"

"Ok, there are five of us. And he told us to make a circle of fires around the city..."

"I-it was Jason. He saw me holding you and he went mad... I knew he liked you from the start, but I didn't think this much... he attacked me, and knocked you out of my arms into the river. He got me with his sword."

Rebecca gasped, a bit disbelievingly, "He did this?"
Estelle frowned shaking her head, "He's lying, Jason didn't do that. He told me what happened, and that's not what happened, Rebecca!"

Cai looked over from Rebecca's shoulder. "Estelle!" He said, running over to her. He tookm her by the shouldersm, but not hard. "You have to listen to me- you canm't trust him! Or M! Rebecca's mother... they're trying to revive her using the sword... but they need a sacrifice to do it... they were going to try to use you." He told her, looking in her eyes.

"No, that's not it!" Estelle insisted, "Rebecca, he's making this all up. He has to be trying to get you to turn against Jason. He only wants to help you!"

"N-no, Estelle, really! You have to trust me on this! Don't yoy think Jason found you at a rather convenient time? And why do you think they've been treating you so nicely?"

Estelle took a step back, "You're lying!" She screamed, "Jason wouldn't let them do anything to me! He saved my life, you know!"

"Yes! So they could bring back Rebecca's mother! If I was lying, wouldn't I have hurt you by now?"
