Blood of the Innocent: Part One

"yeah i wouldn't expect you to. Supposedly it's unnacceptable for older vampires to stay with "fledglings" he said rolling his eyes. "if I can ask, why dont you seem to show much emotion?" Jason asked curiously.

"It's nothing to do with age so much as it is I've always been a little lavish with accommodations." She stated simply, blatantly ignoring his last question.

"what about my second question? How come you don't show much emotion?" he asked as he threw up for the upteenth time.

"I don't feel it anymore." She said blankly.

"if you want I could teach you to" Jason offered before spilling his bowels again.

"I'll manage." She said simply, "Besides, feeling isn't something that is taught."

"well it can't be taught but it can be relearned" Jason said smiling a bit even though he felt horrible. "it's more fun to feel things" he said.

"I don't remember. I wouldn't know." she said simply, "You should be wrapping up soon."

"well maybe i could bring it back" he said coughing a bit. "I can simulate how the sun feels though without the whole burning thing" he said.

Adare nodded, "I saw that in your memories."

"yeah but you didn't feel it" he said smiling up at her a bit.

"I don't feel." she said simply.

Dianne grinned, "I miss the alone time between us, to be quite honest."

Adrian grinned back. "You don't have to, you know."

Dianne smiled, "I know. Hopefully, we'll get to be together all the time now."

He nodded. "We should hurry up with this wedding, though."

"We should. I don't know if I can take the suspense." Dianne chuckled.

He smiled. "We'll have to hurry but... day after tomorrow?"

Jason chuckled a bit. "It's not that you don't feel, you just don't allow yourself to admit your feelings." Jason said. he was starting to feel better now, the power seal slowly fading away.

Dianne nodded, "Alright." she smiled, then kissed his lips gently.

Adare didn't respond, instead looking off into the distance.

Jason watched her. "I think I know why you try to keep your emotions locked up. It said in the book I had when you woke up" he said standing up a bit shakily and watching her. "is it because you were betrayed by someone you trusted, and after he died by your hand you regretted it so deeply that you locked away your emotions?" He asked quietly.

Adrian smiled and kissed her back, though not as "gently" as she had.

Dianne laughed, "You're teasing me."

Adare said nothing, wincing a bit, but still looking off into the distance.

"Indeed." He mused, smirking at her.

Dianne laughed and shook her head, "Is Dominic awake? I might have to bother him to keep my mind out of the gutter."

Adrian smiled. "I believe so. Have at it."
