Blood of the Innocent: Part One

"oh i was wondering what that was" he said looking at it. "any idea whose it is?" he asked looking up at them.

He nodded before stepping over to the vampire and biting his wrist. He tiled it's head up and let the blood drops fall to it's mouth.

The corpse moved, tilting it's head upward toward the blood, taking in every drop it could. Each passing second, the blood seemed to bring it back to life. First, bringing it's skin back to a pale white, then it's hair growing back long and brown, until the vampire resembled a human again, still held in place by the shackles, "More..." she exhaled as if starving, "God, I'm so thirsty..."

Jason watched with intense curiousity. she looked very familiar. he looked back in the book. "Adare Cross?" he asked looking at the reanimated corpse. He moved a bit closer still incredibly curious about her.

The corpse looked up, it's face distinctly female, "What do you want from me?" she asked in a hoarse whisper.

"I don't want anything from you except for you to quell my curiousity" He said kindly. he looked at the cross on her neck and flinched a bit. "do you want me to get that off your neck before I ask anything?" He asked moving close to her

Adare nodded, "It would be helpful."

Jason nodded. he moved her head foward so the cross was just dangling in the air. "hold still now" he said as with one quick swipe he broke the chain and set the cross against the wall. "is that better?" He asked kindly.

Adare exhaled deeply, "Much..."

Jason smiled at her. "now maybe you can answer a few of my questions. it seems a lot of curiousity is comming up around a Tomb of sorts. I think you might know somethng about it" he said still close to her.

"It's probably this one." she exhaled, still sounding weak, "I'll answer your questions as soon as I get something more to drink."

Jason nodded. "before you leave for your drink can you just tell me what about this tomb is so important?" he asked. he was about to break her shackles he just wanted to know before she left.

"A lot of things. There is a lot of knowledge in this room."

Jason pulle a flask from his pocket. he dripped some of the contents on her lips so she could know it was blood. he broke her shackles and handed her the flask. "would you care to explain about this knowledge?" he asked curiously.
((it has an enchantment that keeps the blood as fresh as if it came straight from the veins.)

Adare drank quickly at first, then slowed down and handed him back the flask, "Just some old vampire knowledge. I don't even think the others are still alive."

"could you explain it to me?" he asked curiously as hebroke the shackles that bound her to the wall.

Adare rubbed her wrists, "It's just some talents obtained over many many years of experimentation." she looked over at the book and picked it up, "You want my blood-to-ashes ability, don't you?" she whispered.

Jason tilted his head curiously. "that sounds cool and all but Honestly that seems like a waste to me" he said. he could tell this bugged her. "are you alright?" he asked

Adare closed her eyes, ignoring the question, "Is Gerome still alive?" she asked, "Gerome LeCount?"

Adrian pursed his lips a bit. "Gerome LeCount? From the Crimson Scar?"

Adare nodded, "Is he still alive?"

((No preferably. He should be long dead.))

"No, he died a long time ago...." He said.

Adare cursed under her breath, "Who are the oldest vampires still living?"
