Zane blushed a bit, "Me, too." Zane was nervous, too, but still not afraid to try.

Zane laughed, "Odd question... But, not too long. A few months, actually. Just a heads up, embalming fluid makes you stiff all over." he shuddered with a smile, "I still don't quite feel right."

"Yeah, I know. Listen," Articia said, and flexed her fingers. The dried tendons and muscles in her hand creaked loudly as they stretched.

"Ow... Sounds painful." He remarked, "I was injected with it the day before yesterday, so it's still all... concrete-y."

"Well, sucks to be a guy, doesn't it?" Articia laughed, slapping Zane on the knee before getting up to stretch. "You want anything to drink?" she said as she walked to the kitchen.

"I've got some of that. Which do you like better, type A or O?" Articia said, pulling two milk jugs out of the fridge filled with thick red liquid, each with a sharpie mark that said A and O.

"O." Zane answered, "It's like my ramen noddles."

Articia poured him and herself a glass. "Meh. I like A better. It's not as cholesterol laden because people with type A blood do better as a vegetarian, so more of them most likely are."
She handed Zane his glass and sat down beside him on the couch.

Zane nodded, "I've always been the all-or-nothing type." He blushed, "Overachiever."

"I would have been vegan, but it's pretty much impossible here." Articia said, fishing a chunk of heart tissue out of her glass. "You can't find a scrap of tofu or soy cheese within 50 miles of here."

Zane rolled his eyes, "Tell me about it. That's the reason I had my brother do my snakes. Mom and dad hate facial piercings." Zane smiled, wiggling his two lip rings with his teeth.

"Lucky! I had snakebites, but mine fell out when I started to rot." Articia said, pointing to her bottom lip. "Now I have superglue holding my lip together. And my tongue."

"Aww..." Zane frowned a bit, "My pinky finger rotted off, if it makes you feel better." he held up his right hand, pinky finger missing.

Articia chuckled. "Mine are getting there." She said holding up her hand and showing her fingers. Some of which had chunks of skin missing, exposing bone and dried ligaments.
