((You can either be members of The Militants or Outsiders. The Militants are the ones who are trying to overthrow the corrupt government (they are characterized by wearing gas masks with symbols painted on them, or top hats with playing cards in the brim), the Outsiders are either for the government, or they are blissfully unaware (civilian attire).))

Bio: Kelly was always on the edge of sanity, but she was taken for three weeks by the government for 'interrogation'. When she came back, something was different. She seemed to have not only fallen off the edge of sanity, but completely lost sight of it. She met up with a Militant leader when she was 17 and has been with them ever since, known by all as "The Hatter".

Cheshire
Appearence: Wears a gray hoodie with light blue-greenish stripes that seem to glow, jeans are a tad darker in shade, but have a matching stripe pattern. Wears a Gask Mask that has an eerie grin painted on it. Always has his hood up. Eyes are large and blue, the iris expanding across the entire eye, and the iris is a slit. Same glowing effect as the hoodie.

Ring around the rosie...
Katie looked up, small, charred gray bits of paper ash floated around her like snow. She held her hand out to catch one of the pieces, her gloves missing fingers so she could feel them dissolve as soon as they touched her skin.
Pocket full of posies...
She held her hands out to her sides like a crucifix as more and more ash came down. She saw a little girl in the distance, dressed in white lace and carrying a parasol. She had sweet little angelic curls that fell on her porcelain cheeks, a small white had tilted on her head.
Ashes...
Katie ran to the girl, bits of ash hitting her face. She wiped one off of her eye that still had a bit of a blaze going on it, leaving a streak of black down her cheek and burning away a little of her skin.
Ashes...
Katie laid her hand on the girl's shoulder. The girl turned around, her eyes suddenly black as coal and smooth as pearls. Black ink-tears dripped down her cheeks as the girl hissed, "You're running out of time!" she screamed, holding up a large black pocket watch. Katie stepped back, then fell into some sort of hole screaming...
We all fall down...

Katie woke with a start, her breath catching in her throat like it was too scared to come out. She laid a gloved hand on her chest, her heart jumping like a rabbit. She exhaled, looking at the large gold pocket watch on her bedside table. It was 3 am. She sighed, knowing she wouldn't be able to sleep after that, took her hat, and walked into The Militants' courtyard.

((Hah, don't worry about it. But anyway, I've gotta go. so, later.))

((Aw... And it's almost like a town square. Broken fountain, pulled up cobblestone... Buildings falling apart, but people are living in them anyways. Including Hatter.))

Cheshire sat upon one of the chunks of building had fallen, perched much like a cat, looking up at the sky, his gas mask around his neck.

((Mmmhm.))
Hatter looked up, "How long have you been out here?" she asked, "I hope my sleeping sounds didn't wake you?"

"How long haven't I been out here? I never slept, so you never woke me." He said, looking down at her with his big eyes and ever-present smile.

"I suppose that's one bit of guilt I never have to carry, then." she said simply, running her fingers through the water in the fountain.

Chershire nodded a bit. "What has you out so late?"

"I prefer to think of it as early." she mused, "And just a bad dream. I can't get back to sleep now." she sat on the edge of the fountain now, taking off her shoes and rolling up her pants.

"Late, early, early, late, it's all reletive." Cheshire said, hopping down to the ground.

"I like early better." she said simply, stepping into the water in the fountain.

"Well, where does one stop and the other begin? How can you know if you don't know when to know it." He said, perching on the edge of the fountain.

"Don't know, don't care." She chuckled, picking up pennies with her toes.

Cheshire looked at her, smiling, seeming satisfied with the answer.

"Why do people throw pennies in fountains? Everyone knows they aren't going to grant any kind of wish, they are just throwing out loose change." she said, picking out a quarter.

"It's quite simple. We're all mad." He replied.

Hatter laughed, "Now you're just taunting me." she said, tossing up one of the coins and catching it, "Ugh... Tails... It's going to be a bad day."

"With that attitude it is." He said.
