Jericho sat down across from the mattress, daydreaming.

Some time after morning broke, Angel woke.

Jericho was asleep with his head between his knees.

Angel was careful not to wake him, peeking out the window.

There were two splicers fightinng over a canned something, but that was it.

One just finally pulled out a pistol and shot the other.

Angel jumped at the sound of the gunshot, gasping lightly and squeezing her eyes shut.

Jericho snored, his sleeping self either used to the sound or ignoring it.

Angel swallowed, still unnerved. She exhaled deeply trying to calm herself.

Jericho stayed sleeping, obviously used to the sounds of Rapture.

Angel nearly jumped out of her skin as she heard a pounding on the door.

Jericho began to wake, mumbling a bit.

Angel shook his shoulder a bit, not sure what to do about the banging on the door that persisted.

Jericho stretched and rubbed his eyes. "Huh?" He asked.

She jerked her head toward the door, as someone banged on it again.

Jericho's head shot up before he scrambled ofver to the side where he had his shotgun against the wall.

There was more banging on the door, followed by a male voice shouting "I know you're in there!"

"Shit!" Jeericho shouted, grabbing his shotgun and standing up, pointing it at the door.

Angel sort of hid behind him, not saying a word.

"Do me a favor? Get the door and then jump to the side." He said.

Angel nodded, taking the door handle and opening the door, moving to the side. A pair of splicers were at the door.
