"Not really, but I'm good at ignoring it." MC said simply, jumping down off the building.

He nodded a bit and met her at the bottom, begining to walk towards the pod.

MC walked over to it as well, "So, how do you open these from the outside? Or should I just hit it until it breaks?"

"Break the glass." He said, kicking it a few times. "Which is easier said than done. Even for a SPARTAN."

MC nodded, ramming the back of her gun into it three times, cracking it, but not quite breaking it, before she held onto her shoulder, exhaling to make sure she didn't hurt her shoulder worse.

"Don't overexert yourself." Hwe said before taking the Beam Rifle and butting the carrel against the glass, firing until it was empty. He then began to break the glass in near the hole.

"Well, at least you know it holds up well to wear and tear." MC joked lightly.

He laughed a bit. "Oh yeah. They need to keep them pretty durable. For the orbital drob thing, you know." He said, pulling the last of the glass out before frowning inside his helmet as he removed the dead ODST. "I knew him...."

MC looked up, meeting his eyes, "I'm sorry... Truly, I am. I know the feeling."

He nodded a bit. "We should call in. We can get him a funeral." He said as he sat in the pod, messing with the comm link.

MC nodded, listening to see if anything came in.

They, eventually, got a scratchy signal, and Ben ordered a pickup.

The pickup arrived, the doors opening for them. MC heaved herself to her feet, gently lifting Ben's friend out of the pod and into the ship. As soon as she had handed the body off, she sat down, resting her head back against the ship.

Ben sat next to her and took her helmet off for her. "Are you okay?" He asked as the ship took off.

"Just in a lot of pain, Ben." She said, regulating her breathing slowly and deliberately.

He nodded. "I'll get you looked at professionally when we get to base." He said, taking off his own helmet.

He smiled a bit. "Yeah. You do." He joked.

"Of course." He said, smiling back with a light chuckle.

When they landed, he helped her up and to the infermiry.

MC got to the infirmary walking mostly on her own. She looked over at Ben, "So, you need to decide what I owe you."

He smiled. "You don't want to leave that decision up to me."
