Toys in the Attic[R.I.P.]

Adrastea Arcane
Adrastea is a porcelain doll that appears to have gone horribly wrong. She vividly remembers hearing children scream of nightmares that came from the 'scary black doll'. So, she was put away in the attic so no one would ever have to see her again and was forgotten about. Even after the house burned down, the box of toys that she was in was left as if no one even saw it there.


Alisha
Alisha is a worn, well-loved panda plush. She was put up in the attic when the child that lived in the house moved out. When the house burned down, she was all but forgotten and remains convinced that someone will come back for them.

Jason Amaroq aka Bumblebee
Jason was a favorite toy for a long time. he eventually grew dull to his owner and was stored in the attic. he has been there ever since. he is a transformer.

Adrastea sat on the windowsill, looking out at the moon. She wiped some ash off her cheek, looking back over at the two boxes left. One, her box, had old dishes and glass animals in it, and the other had been a box of Allison (the child that had lived here)'s favorite toys. Allison had hated Adrastea. She had screamed one morning that the porcelain doll had given her nightmares, bringing demons into her room and Adrastea had been packed away that morning.
She looked over at the other box, climbing down gently, trying not to break herself and walked over to the box, opening the lid, "Alisha? Are you there?" She asked, pushing aside Barbie Dolls and other toys.

Alisha was laying on her back, buried under a few other toys. Only her left foot was sticking out of the mess. She wiggled it feverishly, and shouted, but it was muffled by a mouthful of that-one-friend-of-Barbie's-that-no-one-likes' hair.

Adrastea moved the doll and pulled Alisha out, "There you are!" she announced proudly, "I found a chess game. Wanna play?"

Alisha raised one plushie eyebrow.
"Is that the game that takes a lot of smarts to play, and the castle and the horsie and that pointy thing can only move a cetain way? 'Cuz I don't know how to play that..." she said, pulling a Loncoln Log out of her ear.

Adrastea chuckled, "Or we could find something else to do..." She tapped her chin, each tap making a soft clinking noise until she smiled brightly, "We could play with the other doll clothes! Like dress-up!"

Alisha patted her soft belly. "Ugh, I can't. I am waaaay too fat to fit into those clothes. I mean seriously, those people that make those dolls need to make a doll that eats its weight in bamboo every day. Not everyone can be anorexic and made of porcelain like you guys." Alisha said, climbing down from the box.

Adrastea pouted, "What do you want to do then? There isn't much we really can do..."

Alisha looked longingly towards the attic window. "I wish we could fly!"

"If I tried, I'd fall and break..." Adrastea sighed, "You're lucky you aren't so fragile."

"Lucky my left cheek!" Alisha nearly yelled. "I get slammed up against walls and thrown every here and sat on, and no one thinks twice about it. But if you get scratched in the slightest bit, everyone's like, Ohmahgosh, no! I brokeded it!'".

"But you don't have to be afraid of adventure!" Adrastea sighed, "You can climb and run and jump and kids can play with you while I just sit on the shelf."

Articia rolled her plastic eyes. "Sometimes I want to slap those kids in the face! They don't know how to play gently! And if you haven't noticed, adventure isn't my thing. I'd rather sit here and play old school Nintendo, but nooooo, no one has an extra working tv to just store in the attic!"

"Besides," She frowned, "There hasn't been any electricity in the house since the fire." She shuddered at the thought.

"Yeah, I know," Alisha said, absentmindedly rubbing her slightly singed tail.

"We're lucky we survived that." Adrastea commented, "Do you know if anyone else made it?"

"I know some of the Barbies didn't...maybe a Lego man or something..." Alisha said, now digging through the box of burnt-smelling half melted toys.

"I'll help look." Adrastea offered, pulling through one of the other boxes, careful not to beak her fragile hands.

there was a great deal of commotion comming from one of the boxes now. it was almost like a revving engine. at some points it almost sounded like whatever it was was swearing.

Adrastea scrambled over to the box, "Found someone!" She shouted, moving a bag of legos off the source of the noise.

the instant the legos were off a yellow pontiac gto flew out of the box and started a backflip. in midair it changed and landed in a humanoid form. "bout time someone got me out of there" he said coughing metalically.

"Jason!" She smiled, "Remember me?"

Jason looked at her and smiled. "how could i forget that pretty porcelin face?" He asked. he had always been kind to her. granted he was one heck of a snob at first, but after she had helped him reattatch his arm after it had come off, he had been very nice to her.
