Misery walked in slowly, looking around her room to see if there were any differences between hers and Luna's. She found none, save for the large, bright window, which she didn't mind too much. She had a small window in the back that gave her just enough light to see by in the day and look out of at night. "Nothing much." She answered Luna, walking over to the stereo with a chuckle, "Try this button." she pressed a larger round button, that suddenly blasted the speakers. She quickly turned them down so Luna wouldn't go def.

Luna stared in wide-eyed amazment as noise flooded the room, screaming inside her brain. Then, as soon as it had appeared, it stopped. "Wha-what was that?" she crept foreward and pressed the indicated button. Music once again streamed throughout the room. Luna laughed, barely audible. "This is so cool!" she screamed.

Misery smiled lightly, this girl was so easily amused, that it amused even Misery. Misery turned down the volume, where Luna could hear it, but it wasn't blasting her, "I can show you how to work this stuff." She offered. Misery had so many tech toys at home, this stuff was child's play to her. She rifled through the pile of CDs on the stereo, holding up two Green Day albums, "Dookie or American Idiot?" She asked, fully prepared for Luna to just tilt her head to the side and say, "Who?"

Luna giggled, "hehehee, dookie, hee." She quickly smothered her laughter. "Which one do you like?" she inqured. "This is so cool," she repeated, clearly amazed. "How do you know all this stuff?"

"How do you know all this stuff?" her eyes shone adoringly, "It's like magic..." i whispered. Luna dashed beside the system and tried to squeeze her hand behind it. Her effort was wasted, so the transformed into a brown feild mouse and scampered behind into the mess oif cords. "It's like a jungle back here," she squeaked.

Misery looked through the big pile of CDs, smirking slightly as Luna took so much interest in the title of the Green Day album, "I personally like American Idiot, but Dookie was one of their best hits." she smiled, "I've grown up knowing about all this." She grinned brighter, "My parent's developed most of it. Like this TV," She began, walking over to the TV, "It's actually an older model by comparison. But I think it's the newest one we have available to the public." She frowned, realizing that she sounded like she was bragging, "But don't worry about it. My life is nothing I'd want anyone to envy."

Luna finally popped back out from the electronic jungle and morphed human. "Thats so cool," she repeated, adding brightly, "Last year we got a radio... with a tape player!" she beamed proudly. She listened to the music giving it a nodd of approval. "This is nothing like what we listened to back home!" "How many different kinds of music are there?' she wondered.'Surely no more than five...'

Misery laughed, "A lot more than five. I guarantee that." she continued idly rifling through the CDs. Luna was so fascinating to her. She seemed to almost be from a different world to Misery. There was so much that Luna was oblivious to, but it fascinated her in a way that made Misery want to show her everything, "And tapes are sort of old-fashioned. They don't even make them anymore. I can show you how the CDs work, if you like."

"Totally!" Luna exclaimed. She was going to learn every darn thing about this strange machine, and then she would be a genius! Insert evil laugh here, she thought. She bounced on the balls of her feet in anticipation. She dashed over to her duffel bag and produced a 10 pound bag of jelly beans and gummy worms, lugged it back over in front of the high tech machinery, and plopped herself down next to it. She grabbed a hand full of the mixture and settled into a comfortable position and nodded, "Teach me!"

Misery smiled playfully. It was one of the few times anyone had ever seen any trace of joy or happyness on her face before then. Her parents would have never believed what they had seen. Misery pointed to the different buttons, explaining what some did, and explaining the terms written below them on others. "So, it's pretty simple once you know what you are talking about." Misery said with a nod, "And now you're all set to explore the world of surround sound."

Luna'a head spun with the knowlage that had been, admittedly willingly, thrust upon her. "I-I think I got it?" Her fingers fluttered over the buttons, as if memorizing them by touch. She pressed one and the enormous machine whirred and once again, music blared. Luna flinched as the tunes streamed through her brain, bombarding her. She frantically stabbed at buttons until the sound receded. "Heh-heh... sorry..."she winced.

Misery laughed, "It's OK. It takes some getting used to." She pulled a navy blue duffel bag around in front of her and handed Luna a small CD player with a set of headphones, "Let's start you out with something a little smaller, then I'll show you how some bigger stuff works, OK?" she offered. Misery's gray eyes seemed to have a little spark of life in them as she spoke of the machinery. It had always been a talent of hers.
