Are We Angels? Part 1

"Shot?" M said worriedly, "Did you get the bullet out?"

"No, I wasn't sure how. I could have made it worse."

Jason sighed. he knew a bit about doctoring wounds from trial and error experience. he could have just reached in and got it out, but still, he didn't need that guy thinking he was killing her and trying to attack him.

Mephisto sat her down on the grass, propping her head up on his knees as he took the bandages off her stomach and looked at the wound, "I can't get to it." he sighed after trying to get it out, "Cai, do you have a knife?"

"Oh, uh, yeah, but it's just a pocket knife." He said, handing M the blade.

M nodded, "It'll do." he said, cutting her stomach just enough to get his hand in and remove the bullet, handing it to Cai, "It should heal faster now. Can you find some fresh bandages to cover this with?"

"Oh, yeah, give me a few minutes. Use this until then." Cai said dropping his shirt before taking off.

M caught it and nodded, "Than you, Cai." he said with true gratefulness in his voice. While he seemed creepy or evil or scary sometimes, he truly did love Cai and Rebecca. He was willing to kill for them and would be willing to give up his life for the two of them. He held Cai's shirt to the wound in an attempt to stop the bleeding.

Cai nodded and, a few minutes later, came back with a few roles of gause.

Jason was still watchin the stars on the roof of the building. he was just staring off into space, which was rather common for him to do.

M wrapped the gauze around Rabecca's wound, then pulled her sweater back over it. "She just needs to rest now." he sighed, clearly worried over her.

"Okay, but what about when the sun comes up? I don't think she can stand on her pedistal."

"One of us may hold onto her just for tonight. Hopefully, no one will notice." M said solemnly.

Cai nodded, sitting next to Rebecca. "You think she's gonna wake up soon?"

Jason pushed off frm the building, flying high in the sky so his sillhouette appeared on the moon. He just liked flying, the freedom of it all.

M nodded, "Soon enough." He looked up, seeing Jason flying overhead, "Though you might want to warn him to keep away from her for a while. Rebecca's temper isn't quite as practiced as mine is."

Cai nodded and leaped into the air.

Jason saw cai flying towards him. "oh this can't be good" he muttered, noticing M on the ground behind them. he turned in midair and shot off in the opposite direction.

Cai hovered in the air for a moment before shrugging. "Looks like that was easier than I expected." He said before returning to the ground.

Jason returned to his slightly underground hidding place. He closed his eyes, knowing dawn would be comming any minute now.

Rebecca was awake, but not in a good mood when Cai landed, "I swear, I'm going to give him a stern talking to..." She sighed, "I told him I just wanted to talk but he goes and runs off and-"
M cut her off, "Rebecca, don't get yourself to worked up. You need to rest."
"I'll rest after I've torn his right arm off. See how well he can-"
"Rebecca, please rest."

Jason looked up. he was in a spot where the sun shone a bit early. he hadnt had much choice but to run, she was talking about making him a prisoner after all, dead or a live. who wouldn't have run? she probably could have phrased that better.

Cai landed next to Rebecca. "We can do that tomorrow. Right now, we gotta rest for a while, kay Beck?" He said, picking her up. "Mind if I take her, M?"

M shook his head, "I don't mind."
Rebecca didn't protest Cai holding her, but instead let the first rays of sunshine, freeze them where they were.

Cai's form solidified unto stone, holding Rebecca in a semi-kneeling position. When the sun set again, the stone began to chip off.
