"You better, we're best friends after all." Kyira said with a smile that Zane would remember well from high school.

Zane laughed, "I know. And if I ever try to disagree, you'll chain me in the basement again."

"Not only that, but I'll stick Pizza Face down there with you."

Zane shuddered, "I have nightmares about the last time we fought."
What's funny was that it had been the first time, too.

Kyira remembered the fight well, seeing as it was their first and last, as o yet.
"Yeah, well don't you forget it either. I might get ideas from it to torture with."

Zane did a mini-bow at her feet, "Yes, oh great one."

"You're a freak Zane," Kyira said with a laugh.

"Guilty as charged." He smiled, "Am I forgiven?"

"Depends, what do I get in exchange for forgiving you?"

"Anything you want." Zane shrugged, folding his hands in the begging position, "Please?"

"Hmmm...surprise me, but you should be able to give it to me in the next 5 minutes." Kyira said as she grabbed Zane's hand and pulled him up.

Zane pulled her lips to his and kissed her, quick to touch lips together, but slow to end it.

"Wow....that was a surprise..."
Kyira said a bit speechless and in a whisper.

"Pleasant or otherwise?" He asked with a hopeful smile.

"Pleasant sure as hell doesn't cover it," Kyira said with a giggle.

"OK, so I'm not in trouble?" Zane chuckled as well.

"Hell nah!" Kyira said as she tackled Zane in a bear hug.

Zane smiled, lifting her effortlessly off the ground, "I'm glad. I hate it when you're p***ed."

Zane frowned, "I hope you are over whatever it was now?"

((I think it was for Zane to be accused of raping his ex and going to jail...then a bunch of other junk,but I can't remember exactly.))

Zane laughed, "And I'm single, too. Well, that works out just fine and dandy now, doesn't it?"
