Survival of the Fittest

Bella closed her eyes, holding her breath. She should have known better.

"Okay, redhead, I heard something. Where are you going?"

While the attention was focused away from him, Jason had slipped away unseen. After all, it's never wise to be at a gunfight with nothing but daggers...

Bella watched Jason run, knowing that he was either unequipped for a fight like this one, or a coward. Possibly even both. Either way, he wasn't with the stranger and that's one less person Aya would have to focus her attention on.

"Well now, see if you don't care for this girl I could a bullet into her leg. Make her fall and suffer. And one in her stomach. Make her bleed a little more. Then one in her chest. She'll have a new hole to breath. You don't care?"

Jason, despite bella's thoughts, hadn't run away. Merely.. he had run around. Her captor hadn't even noticed him go, so intent was he on Aya. He edged silently along a ledge above bella's captor. He knew he was heavily outgunned, considering he had none to his credit.When he got close enough, he jumped down from the ledge, in between bella and the gun. He grabbed the man's wrist holding the gun and twisted it so it pointed away from everyone, his grip like a vice as he pointed a dagger at the man's throat with his free hand. "Now if you'll please calm down, maybe we can discuss this without someone getting killed." he said, his eyes narrowed at the man. "I give you my word that I will not hurt you if you cooperate"

((You jumped off a several story building just fine? What are you, Spiderman?))

Oh Shit. Tony wasn't thinking things through anymore. With his spare hand he pulled his pistol from his hip and put it in the guys face.

"Back the fuck off or I'll kill you. You blade isn't as fast as my bullet."

((I never said he was that high up. I meant a ledge maybe a single story high at best.))
"True, but if you kill me, She'll kill you in the next instant" Jason said motioning with a nod of his head towards Aya.

"you're in a no win situation if you keep this up. Just calm down and no one will get hurt" he said calmly.

"Back the fuck off"

((btw, Jason, we are around a corner, Aya can't see or fire at us. She can hear this conversation. ))

"i ain't moving. if you want to get away, you move. i'm obviously not going to follow you" he said with calm simplicity.

"so your options are pretty slim. either run now and live, kill me and wind up dead, or calm yourself down and live. you pick" he said shrugging.

(ah thanks for clarifying that part)

Jason sighed and took one step back, though he kept himself as a human shield between bella and the gunman. he tossed hsi dagger into the ground, as well as one he had in his sleeve. "there, i'm unarmed. Now can we try to talk this out like the semi-reasonable people we claim to be?" he asked rolling up his sleeves to show he had no more concealed daggers there.

Tony didn't put his gun down.

"Hey, Redhead, join if you like. Now, where are you going?"

"as far as I know, we're just wandering." jason said truthfully. "and you could point that gun away from me at any time now" he said watching tony closely. "i'm not crazy enough to attack someone holding a gun if i don't have one too" he said.

"I wont put this gun down. You're fast. And all you're doing is wandering? then you have to know something. Info"

"what kind of info do you want? street gang locations?" he asked. "I just know where stuff is, and what places to avoid if people don't want to die." he said.

"Food, Water, safety."

Bella seemed hurt for a moment as Aya spoke, but upon a closer look, she could see that Aya was bluffing. She jumped a bit, frightened as Jason landed between the two of them. She didn't move away from Jason, somehow knowing that this stranger was only trying to survive, "Well... what if I could help? If I had food, water, safety... What would you offer in return?" she spoke, her voice wavering a bit, as she projected a bit of confidence.

"Both your friends threaten to kill me and you want me to come with you? I guess my chances of survival are higher." Tony lowered his gun. "I have three guns and some ammo, as well as rations to keep me alive for.. I have none. I'm join ya, just keep those two away."

"I'll let you come with us if you promise not to hurt anyone. Without good reason." she added the last part in case someone threatened to kill her. Again.

Jason slipped his daggers back into his sleeves. It seemed the fight was over now.

Tony put his gun back at his hip. He was ready and wasn't going to let his guard down.

"Where to?"

"I have a safe house. It's been up and undiscovered for four years." she said quickly.

Tony, having stepped out from behind his corner turned to the blonde.
"Great. Now, what was your name?"
