I regret to inform you that at this time we are unable to offer you an interview for the second phase of admission to the Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky.

The selection committee has had a difficult task evaluating the highly qualified pool of applicants in the current admissions cycle. We were unsure of what to expect during recruitment this year, but were pleased with the reception of our program across the state and the increased depth and quality of applicants. Our pool of 125 students features some of Kentucky’s brightest young minds and spans the Commonwealth in all directions. With such remarkable applications and strength of test scores, the process of narrowing the field of highly qualified applicants was not easy. Applicants like you provided us an unenviable task.

While I am sure this news comes as a disappointment, the Gatton Academy staff applauds your effort in completing the admissions process. It is indeed a testament to your resolve to pursue challenging educational opportunities when they arise. Please do not let this discourage you in future endeavors. Should you have new information to include in your admissions file--such as updated ACT or SAT scores--do not hesitate to contact us with that information. We will continue to review and examine applications should any additional space become available within the program.

I actually had a 30 on my PLAN.
And I made that my 7th grade year.
