Underworld: Grudges

Claire's hands were up, one on either side of her head, as her head smacked into the wall with a crack. She looked over at Andrei, a look of fear and pleading in her eyes.

Aurlie smiled, then shrugged, "I'll unfold them when we land."

Vincent smiled. "All right." He said, going through the airport security.

Ian turned and looked at Andrei before shaking his body a bit and roaring, begining to charge.

Andrei pulled the trigger a few times, sending bullets through the air and into Ian. The bulletholes simmered and smoked as Ian yelped and backed away, before clawing out of the small basement window.

Claire sighed, sliding down to the floor, but looking up at Andrei, expecting him to shoot her, too.

They passed through and were soon on the plane.

"You want the window seat?" He asked.

Andrei lowered his gun. "Friend or foe?"

"Does it matter? You know I'm just going to fall asleep on you anyways." Aurlie said simply.

Claire held up her hands, "I don't want to hurt anyone..." she said simply, not knowing who this guy was.

"True." He said, smiling and taking the window seat.

"Friend." He said, putting away his gun.

Aurlie sat next to him, crossing her legs at the ankles.

Claire exhaled, letting her hands come down slowly, resting at her sides, "Thank you..." she said softly.

"Don't worry about it. What are you doing down here?"

Vincent smiled as the plane took off and began it's flight.

"Running from him." she said, nodding in the direction Ian left in, "Not a whole lot of people seem to get the expression 'non-violent'."

Aurlie rested her head on his shoulder, falling asleep, just as she predicted.

"Maybe because that doesn't make much sense." He offered.

Vincent smiled and acted as her pillow until they landed.

Claire sighed, nodding, "It doesn't seem to anymore, or so I've gathered." she pulled herself into a standing position slowly, as though making sure he wasn't planning on shooting her as she did so.

Aurlie jumped a bit as they landed, then relaxed, still sort of waking up.

He laughed a bit and kissed her cheek. "We're here."

"Not anymore." He said. "Relax, I'm not going to hurt you."

She swallowed, nodding, "Like you said, non-violent doesn't make a whole lot of sense anymore... I have to be careful..." she paused, "My name is Claire..."

Aurlie smiled, moaning a bit playfully at the rude awakening the plane had given her as they had landed, "Morning..." she muttered.

"Morning. Even though it's about nine PM here." He said, smiling.

"You can call me Andrei." He said. "Do you have somewhere to go, or do you need a place to stay?"

"I don't have anywhere." Claire answered.

Aurlie smiled, shrugging lightly, "I just woke up, so it's morning." she insisted.

He smiled a bit. "I can accept that."

"Follow me." He said, turning and walking off.

Claire followed him tentatively, watching carefully just in case.

Aurlie smiled as they got off the plane, her legs wobbly from sleep at first.

"Don't worry; we're safe until he pulls those bullets out." He said, walking down an alley. "Unless there's more."

He smiled and picked her up.

Claire nodded, following him silently.

Aurlie smiled, kissing his cheek.

He opened the passenger side of a black car and got in. "Youdrive, I'll tell you where to go." He said.

Claire nodded, getting in the drivers side.

He pulled out his revolver again and reloaded it.

Vincent smiled a bit and took her outside. "Now, where to?" He asked.

"I'm still tired, so preferably somewhere I can sleep." Aurlie teased.

Claire looked over at him warily, but kept driving.

"A hotel then?" He asked.

Andrei looked behind them as two bikers sped onto the road.

Claire looked out the mirror, "That looks like his friends..."

Aurlie smiled, "Thank you."
