He grinned. "You're stuck with it, kid. Does it work on angels?"

"I-I don't know..." She held her hands close to her, as though they were a danger to the air around her, too.
"Cai... I told you that you wouldn't get away with this." M spoke from behind him, "Estelle's a little too much for you to convert."

He grimmaced. "Looks like it, huh? Well, one failure won't do much anyway." He mused.

M stood behind Estelle, "Unfortunately for you, my dear, you won't be able to quite control yourself all the time. While you're pure heart keeps you in control sometimes, demon magic is strong. When that side takes over, you'll have to do whatever he says."
Estelle nodded, gritting her teeth to keep from crying.

Jason sighed to himself. He was still sitting there. Without estelle he really didn't know what to do. she had been his best friend... he had loved her... and he didn't know she was still alive, her pure heart keeping her safe.

Rebecca nodded, "I felt a connection with that girl... I'm not really sure what it was, but there was something there..."

Jason looked at her and sighed. "i'm probably not the best one to explain what that connection was" Jason said trailing off.

Rebecca bit her lower lip, a tear running down her cheek. She rested her head on Jason's shoulder as she cried softly, her free-willed, never-back-down spirit finally broken.

Jason gently put his arm around her to comfort her. he didn't really know what to say to her...

M gritted his teeth, "But, so you are aware, Estelle must smell a person's fear before she'll go into rage."
Estelle looked up at M, "I don't want to stay with him... He tried to hurt my friend..."
"I'm sorry, but until you're either killed again and sent to heaven where you belong or the demon is driven out, then you have to."

He shrugged. "I can work with that. But M... do we all go to Heaven?" He asked.

"Once you die again, Cai, then yes. The only thing that keeps an angel from heaven is death by a demon."

Jason sighed a bit, still with his arms around rebecca to comfor her. they had both lose the person they loved... it couldn't be easy. he remembered reading about excorsisms... but really what good would that do?

M nodded, "I'll leave the two of you now, though I wish you the best, Estelle."
Estelle nodded, still trying not to cry.

Rebecca continued to cry for a long while, until she fell asleep from exhaustion.

Cai laughed a bit and stepped back. "C'mon, kid, lets go make some mischief."

Jason kept his arm around her gently. he wished he knew where estelle's dmon was so h could at least try to help her.

Estelle bit her lower lip, following him only because she had to. It was as though her body wouldn't let her disobey.

Cai laughed a bit and took off into the sky. "How about we start some fires? I'm sure your little boy-toy would love to see you doing that."
