I Was Trying to Disappear

Addy was still sitting on her tree as the other wolves in the tribe gathered around her and a large black wolf with golden eyes. He was the only one left who was her senior and he was older than her by three hundred years.

when jason saw the tribe he started have second thoughts about following he hopped silently into a tree and stayed hidden in the shadows. he was downwind so they couldn't smell him.

Several of the wolves had caught food, and they tossed it into the middle, some of those who hadn't been so lucky, smiling thankfully. Most were in wolf forms, but three or four were in human forms. Addy looked behind her at the black wolf, who nodded to her as she howled, the wolves taking portions of the meat in the center, not one taking too much. There was meat left over still, which Addy would cover in salt and put away in their cave in case food ever became scarce.

jason began to drool at the sight of food. he hadn't eaten in almost a week. it took a lot of self control to keep his stomach from growling and giving away his location. he didn't want to be found yet. he was so focused on the sight of food that he didn't notice the wind shift directions..

Addy nodded her head to the big black wolf, who nodded his head back at her in return. Addy lept off the tree and walked away, not toward Jason, but in the opposite direction. She came around to his side without him knowing it, in her human form, naked as the day she was born, "Care to tell me why you are watching my tribe eat?"

Jason jumped a good ten feet when she came up next to him. he fell off of the tree with a dull thud. He clawed at the ground and got a good few feet away before pulling out his daggers, panting, startled, and now blushing at the sight of her. unlike some werewolves, he wasn't used to seeing people naked.

"Care to answer my question?" Addy said calmly.

Jason did his best to calm his breathing. "i-i was just wandering around when two of them got me to follow them" he said trying to keep his voice even. his cheeks were blushing furiously and he couldn't get that much to stop. he was a good fighter, but he was very, very shy.

She looked over at the group, "Which two? The twins?"

"i don't know if they were twins but one was black with a white spot over one eye, the other was brown with a white spot over the other eye" he explained still crouched defensively and holding the daggers. his cheeks were still lit up from seeing her body. he was a loner so he wasn't used to seeing people naked.

Nathan snickered slightly from where he was sitting on the fallen tree, in wolf form.

"Yep. That was the twins. Not that we aren't all that nice." She smiled, "You can get up, you know."

((Actually, I meant Nines, but yeah, lets go with the Nathan thing.))

Jason slowly stood up, not quite sure what to think of this naked girl. the sad thing was, he was older than her, but he was by far more self conscious.

Addy snickered, "Whatever. Just know that we all know you're here." She turned back into the solid white wolf with the eerie blue eyes and sat back up on the tree with Nathan.

Nathan just shook his big, shaggy head.
"So... uh... Is this all you guys do?" Nines asked from were he sat at the base of a tree, still human.

Jason backed away slowly before taking off. he was rather embarassed that he had let himself be scared and caught off guard so easily. not to mention her image was burned into his mind's eye right now. his stomach finally growled and he kept running. he knew this was probably their terrritory, so he wanted to find the boundary and find food before he starved to death.

Addy turned back into a human so she could speak, "Not really, this is just how we do food and stuff."

Nines smiled and nodded. "Cool. So what's with pops? Why's he so quiet?" He asked, looking at Nathan.

"Nathan is the oldest one in our group." Addy smiled, "And he just doesn't like to eat his food while he's human."

Nines nodded. "Ah. Makes sense. So... what was planned for todays meeting?"

"There is a hostile tribe on our border that we know is going to attack soon. We're talking battle plans." Addy explained.

Jason kept running until he ran into a couple of large wolves in human form. they were from the neighboring tribe. they assumed jason belonged to addy's tribe. these were invasion scouts, and they didn't want jason to tell anyone about the attack, and tried to silence him. five minutes later, the smell of blood reached addy's nostrils. the two scouts were dead, and jason had a cut above his left eye that blinded that eye for now.

Addy stood on the tree branch, looking around, "I smell blood. They may already be here. Nathan, may I take a group out to meet them while you get the rest ready?"

Nathan nodded his shaggy head as a yes.
"Uh... should I go or stay here?" Nines asked.
