By the time Zane finished the cupcakes Kyira had icing and batter on her nose and some in her hair, which was pretty much everywhere.

Zane smiled, handing Kyira a cupcake with purple icing, "You have room for one of the actual cupcakes, or did you fill up on the batter?"

"I dunno, we'll find out."
Kyira pulled off the wrapper and took a bite. smiling brightly, mouth closed, and laughing, having to cover her mouth to keep Zane from seeing her mouth full of cupcake.

Zane laughed, "Since when do you start hiding things from me, buddy?" He laughed, holding her hands at her sides as he ticked her neck with his nose.

Kyira mumbled something as she tried chewing the cupcake.

Zane stopped holding still, "What did you say?" he asked, still giggling like a schoolboy.

Kyira swallowed the cupcake and said, "When I half a mouthful I hide the food. I doubt you want to see soggy cupcake mush."

"It's you're soggy cupcake mush, so I bet it's beautiful." He smiled, sitting on the counter next to her and unwrapping his cupcake.

"Freak." Kyira muttered as she went to his fridge, looking for a Rockstar.

Zane licked the icing off the top, without even looking up, "It's in the other fridge."

Kyira huffed and went to the other one, grabbing a Rockstar and chugging it down.
"I feel better."

"You felt bad?" Zane asked curiously.

"I felt weaker. Lack of artificial energy."
Kyira said as she patted her stomach.

Zane chuckled lightly, sliding off the counter and hugging her close to him, "Then maybe you need to take a nap."

"Pft, after that I'll be up until Brian calls to locate me."
Kyira said as her shaking hands returned.

Zane laughed, "I'll tell him that I thought you were with him."

"Bleh, I'm going to crash."
Kyira mumbled as she passed out.

Zane caught her effortlessly and laid her down on the couch, gently brushing her hair with his hand, and kissing her cheek, "Sleep well, Kyira."

Kyira slept up until 12 the next day, waking up to shake her head and look around searching for signs that she wasn't drugged again.

She could hear Zane whistling from the kitchen, probably hard at his cooking again. The room smelled like breakfast. Eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, gravy, and syrup.

Kyira dragged herself into the kitchen, flopping down in front of Zane at the small bar, head on the counter as she mumbled a few words about coffee.

Zane absentmindedly passed her a coffee mug filled with black coffee, "I didn't know how much of what you like in it, so feel free to grab some creme or sugar or whatever."

Kyira drank it black, noting to gag every few seconds. She hated straight coffee, but after the energy drinks she had the crash was massive so she need a boost.

Zane raised an eyebrow, "I said you can use creamer and sugar. You sure you need it straight? You know I know you don't like it black."
