The Family[R.I.P]

Jason knew rather instantly that Alexa was looking down at him. he crossed his arms. he didn't like beign so formal. a little here and there was good, but here chivalry was dead from overkill.

Alexa bowed her head, "Yes father."
Though the formality of her tone and words were almost mechanical and seemed as if it popped out of a storybook, she actually was very close to he father. She loved his company and she, Phillip, and Alexander had actually written several books together, but always kept them in the family library away from the eyes of others.

Jason leaned on the wall. he would probably bolt by the next day. he couldn't stand all this formality.

Alexa looked over at Jason, still searching for something, anything, that might tell her that he was her brother, and not just some kid off the street that had wandered into the wrong house.

Jason sighed. he seemed to gaze off into the distance. he had one of those looks phillip sometimes had when he was deep in thought.

Alexa reconized the look like the ones that Phillip had. She couldn't help but respond with, "Do you need something to write with?" only aware after she said it that he wasn't Phillip.

Jason shook his head. "no thanks. it's better for me to keep it in my head. no one can read my handwriting anyway." he said as if seeing something visible only to his eyes.

"It's just that the look on your face was a lot like the one that Phillip usually gets..." She started, but then shut up.

Jason laughed. "well i hung out with him more than anyone else. probaly cause i have the most in common with him, even if it doesn't show" he said.

"Speaking of Phillip..." Lucy murmured.
"You'll be glad to know he's coming down the street right now."

"Great, here comes Mr. Know-It-All." Adrian muttered.

"Adrian, do me a small favor...and be quiet. I will not have you slander Phillip in my presence any longer."

Adrian rolled his eyes and began to walk back up to his room. "Go see dead people."

Alexa ran to the door, beaming happily, "Phillip!" she shouted, running into her brother's arms.
He embraced her, swinging her around in a circle, "Hey! How's my favorite younger sister?"
"Great! Come on in, Lucy will want to see you!"

Jason chuckled. "i really need to figure out how he gets those warm welcomes" he said mostly to himself.

"Adrian, go suck on a cheerleader."
Lucy replied with ice in her voice.
When she saw Phillip her face lit up slightly.
"Brother, it is wonderful to see you again."

Phillip smiled, "Hello, Lucy. Meet anyone interesting lately?"

Jason leaned against the wall, watching phillip. he was being quiet again.

"Yes, well...I don't really know their names...as you would know. But they did lead me to know when you would arrive."

((Bella,message me sometime, I have an idea suddenly as I type this.))

"So you expected me?" he chuckled, "No use in throwing you surprise parties for your birthday, eh?"

Jason kept leaning on the wall, in probably the most shadowed part of the room. he didn't like the whole formality of this place. it was half of the reason he had left after all.

"No Phillip, even the spirits enjoy a good surprise." Lucy said with a small turn of her lips, which resembled a smile in some ways.
"They did however, remind me to ask of your journey."

"Pleasant as ever." Phillip nodded, "And yours, Jason?" he asked.

"my trip wasnt really much to speak of. i had to beat a few people off my bike but other than that it was boring" he said.

"It is a nice bike." Phillip chuckled, "I hope neither of you were hurt." with this last sentence, Phillip looked up at the sky, his thoughts lost to the rest of the world.
Alexa went to get him one of his notepads.
